He's an owl, he probably sleeps during the day. Night episodes aren't really a thing in this show. Is the new season not on iTunes yet, or am I just not seeing it? I don't get whatever channel Pony is on anymore, and I don't like watching them off of YouTube if I can avoid it.

It seems to me that the only pet that's shown on a somewhat realistically regular basis is Angel, possibly because Fluttershy's home is always full of animals, so he fits there nicely. Perhaps the second most regular pet that gets any kind of screen time is Opal, and even she appears quite rarely. All the other pets, however... only if the episode is somehow about them. Otherwise they are mysteriously out of sight and aren't even mentioned, like they didn't even exist.

Ah, that would explain it. I guess the lack of a season pass is partly due to how iTunes would occasionally "air" an episode early. Or something like that.

Episode 96 That was a really good episode! (Bloom & Gloom and Castle Sweet Castle where bland in comparison) The song was the best thing I listened to since Pinkie's Lament. It was emotional (RD caring for Tank) funny (AJ trying to comfort RD, Pinkie, etc.) and exciting (RD broke down the factory). Also liked the music at the factory. They referenced the Rainbow Factory theme (Link).

I found the episode to be a bit strange. Many out of character moments, I'd say. Edit: Curiously, I didn't understand what the writers were going for with this episode, even though it's quite obvious in hindsight. Somehow I just missed it. Clearly they were alluding to someone's grief after losing a beloved one, like a pet; of course since in this series they can't actually have a pet die, they opted for the next best thing. Still felt kind of strange and full of out-of-character moments.

It very much is. I also got the impression that they wanted to do "This is why you have Applejack and Big Mac and Granny Smith" but were told by the execs "No heavy stuff" so they compromised with this.

Somehow I never pictured Discord as the jealous type. After all, he's arguably the most powerful reality-bender in Equestria (with the possible exception of Pinkie), almost omnipotent, and thousands of years old. One wouldn't think that jealousy would be a characteristic of such a demigod. (But then, if you study even a bit of Greek mythology, perhaps it's not so strange after all.)

When I saw the episode's ("Amending Fences") intro I thought that the episode would suck. I was, however, pleasantly surprised. It was actually quite an enjoyable episode.
