Speaking of which, Littlest Pet Shop will begin its mid-season break after the next episode. I don't know why some conversations die down. It's not like that they won't start back up until the next MLP commercial on Discovery Family. I'm hoping that on February 3 that they start showing episodes from Season 5 on weekday mornings (sans Scare Master and Hearthbreakers)

Well what is there to talk about MLP related right now? TV show aside there's no new movie properly announced afaik (beyond "we promise to make one") and I don't expect many here people buy toys or comic books. Ergo thread goes into hibernation until the topic warms up

One day all the little horsies were led into a glue factory. They never came out again. The end.

Well, here's a topic I was thinking about some time ago, but didn't get around to write about: Family names. Perhaps the only "family name" that there exists in the show is "Pie", with the entire family having that "surname" (except for Cloudy Quartz, who either didn't take her husband's "surname", or it's simply not customary in the MLP universe. My guess is that it's the latter.) Then there are of course the "Apples", but that's not really a "surname" per se, as none of them have it. The (rather extensive) family is simply known as "the Apples". The name "Apple" does appear in the names of numerous members of the family, but not really as a "surname", but as a "first name" (or sorts). The only exception I could find is Caramel Apple. (It gets a bit confusing with Apple Pie (or Perfect Pie), who's a member of the Apple family rather than the Pie family. The "Pie" part is probably just unrelated coincidence.) Then there's Mr. and Mrs. Cake (Carrot Cake and Cup Cake). Rather than being eg. cousins, I'm assuming one took the "surname" of the other. (Since MLP is a heavily matriarchal society, I'm betting it was Mr. who took his wife's "surname". Could be the other way around, though.) Their offspring are also Cakes. But other than them, I can't remember any more "family names" in the entire series. Unless you count "Twilight" as a "family name" (given that Twilight's mother is also named Twilight. But this could simply be a case of a child being given the same name as a parent, which isn't all that uncommon.) Many ponies also have single-word names, pretty much excluding the possibility of a family name or "surname". There is a pattern I'm noticing here: Earth ponies seem to tend to have family names, while unicorns and pegasii don't. Maybe it's a thing.

Do Princess Dream of Magic Sheep and Canterlot Boutique airs one week before Valentines Day. I would not want to see Scare Master. I don't know why Discovery Family won't show season 5 episodes during weekday mornings until season 6 premieres. They showed season 3 episodes of Littlest Pet Shop during the weekdays after the season 3 finale. Why can't they do the same with My Little Pony? Remember back when I said season 4 might be the last? That is the case with LPS. MLP had 88 episodes in the rotation since Discovery Family first started. Why can't they just do like what everybody expects. It's like "So much for Scare Master and Littlest Pet Shop of Horrors being aired at the same time...wait, there's always Halloween." I mean, airing a Halloween episode of a TV show during Valentines Day doesn't seem appropriate for a holiday about romance. I can keep ranting on about it, but you get the gist.

*sigh* here goes. *inhale* Hasbro is hit by a lawsuit be Font Brothers America over the unauthorized use of the "Generation B" font. More of it could be read here.

I wonder how much of a cut Lohner (the guy who actually owns the copyright on the font) is getting from Font Brothers...? It was irresponsible of Hasbro to put the fonts in a public access location and they probably will be found at fault for that, but what the plaintiff is requesting is... kind of overboard.

The ridiculous demands could just be a negotiation tactic: if you have a certain desire, demand more than what you want. Best case scenario is that you get more than what you wanted, worst case is that your opponent is more likely to negotiate down to what you truly wanted in the first place. Whereas, if your initial demand is only what you want, you stand either to gain what you wanted, or less than that. 'Twill be interesting to see how this shakes out.

The season 6 premiere shows that Princess Cadance gave birth to a newborn Alicorn filly.

There are some strange connections between the MLP franchise as a whole and other media. A fine example that Tabitha St. Germain, the voice of Rarity, Luna, Granny Smith, Mrs. Cake, Derpy, and many others voiced Wendy O. "Kootie Pie" Koopa from Super Mario World. Tara Strong, the voice of Twilight Sparkle also voiced Lemmy "Hip" Koopa and Iggy "Hop" Koopa. Also, Tracey Moore, who voiced a G3 Unicorn named Cheerilee was also the voice of Princess Toadstool. Cool, huh?

I have become convinced that there will never be an actually good MLP:FiM game. They will all be just crappy simplistic flash games for kids. Forever. Which is a shame, really. There would be a lot of potential.

Official? Yeah, I don't think so. Fangames? Megapony, Ponyvania are playable and awesome. Friendship is Epic has my attention.

Just like the show itself, right?

I don't consider those MLP games at all. Reskinning a game, or simply putting MLP graphics on a game that has zero to do with MLP:FiM doesn't make it an MLP game. It makes it a completely unrelated game with an MLP:FiM skin.

Even all the SFM Ponies videos created through Garry's Mod and Source Filmmaker. Possibly do recreations of Game Grumps videos done in SFM with Ponies. "Could you please direct me to the closest Cillerenda Castle that you have?" Also, the new Pony toyline called Guardians of Harmony will break the gender barrier once and for all. Speaking of fangames, remember Super Lesbian Horse RPG? I read that it's getting a dolled-up installment. Replacing ponies with original characters and improvements. Similarly what happened to Fighting is Magic.

Im getting social media SJW flashbacks all of a sudden. Not sure if it's due to the name or the 13th word.

As curious a move that the new Guardians of Harmony thing is, I kinda doubt it'll do much to "break the gender barrier," given that the line still has the stench of My Little Pony attached to it, promotional photos be hanged. If anything, it'll expand the idea of what a "girl's toy" could be.

Have you ever watched ScrewAttack's Death Battle? You should check out Starscream vs Rainbow Dash. You won't be disappointed. A little pony taking on a giant robot? How awesome can it be?

Also check Goku vs. Superman. It's one of their best episodes ever.
