Lo all After watching a lot of videos about fast ended nes games, I was thinking about making one. But do you think that my choice is good ? I think this game is quite fun but if you have other suggestion there is no problem :D

Is it the one with 60 levels?Maybe it's Bugs Bunny Crazy Castle. It will be boring if it's that game. That's my opinion.

So now I decided to try to make my first run on this title (I don't think this anonymous will release something about this game). I've made a Testrun on it : http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1029/Bugs%20Bunny%20Birthday%20Blowout%20Testrun%20by%20MetalChurch.fcm I know, it's very far from being perfect, it's just a testrun... I have some question : Does it worth it? Can this game be interesting enough for this site? What would be better? A no damage run? Or an optimal speedrun with damage taken? I will restart this project later this week...

I actually started making a speedrun of this, about 6 months ago. Then my eyes started to bleed, so I stopped.

So I think that mean that you don't like this game!

I played one of those Bugs Bunny games back in the day. I remember it being challenging, but repetitive. I doubt that a full run of the game could remain interesting.

I played that game a lot. Well, mainly I coached my brother while he played. With continues, we still never had the skills to finish it. I would like to see it speed ran.

Good, there's a debate about this game at least Anyway, I will do it for myself, I will submit it when it will be done, but it's not very important for me if my run will be accepted or not... Anyone can answer this question :
What would be better? A no damage run? Or an optimal speedrun with damage taken?

I suggest you go for optimal speedrun, with damage being taken. Taking damage to save time is quite an art itself, and often requires a lot of planning, but on the upside, it can save a lot of time too. :) I wish you good luck on doing this run, and if you want to, you could post your WIP, and I'll watch it and give some feedback on it.

I vote for fastest time, even if it means taking damage. As has been pointed out, taking damage is an art. I'd be happy to be proven wrong on the entertainment factor, so please post WIPs whenever you feel that you have progress to report.

I remember this game. I got it the same christmas that I got Mega Man 3. Both were rather dissapointing. But I do remember this game and it plays exactly like you would expect a game made by a low profile developer using a warner bros license to play, completely average. And yes, I admit, I played it alot. In retrospect, I'm not really sure why, but there was just something about that game that when I was looking through my collection of ~40 NES carts, I would get to that one and think, "Hmm..I haven't played that one in a while." Does anyone else think that the desert level music sounds like that christmas song that goes "It's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you..."

Wow, I just noticed that you must be the third person here whose name starts with "Omega"! ...And, yeah, sure, Bug Bunny's cool.

Hah! By my clever use of carrots I maxed out the number of lives I had... after the first level. It gives you goddamn 50-ups! Also, the game is very choppy, unrealistic, and sucky.

This game is too linear and without big tricks being performed is watching the same things over and over. I think that a run without tool assitance will look like very similar to your test run. The willy the weasel bonus part was greatly made! I hated that weasel!

Ok, thanks for the replies... I will restart this soon (my school end this week)... I will try to make everything perfect (with frame advance) but for the weasel bonus, I've made it in one try at normal speed... I've already did it one time with frame advance and I got 99, but when I watched it, it desync and I don't know why, that part can only be done with normal speed I think... I've already made a plan on everything I will do... But I don't think I will do a lot of timeattack, it's very boring for me to make but according to me, this game needs a timeattack (even if it's accepted on this site or not) and I'm able to do it!

FCEU should never desync. If it did, we should investigate, since it should be impossible. Maybe you loaded your save states in a bad order?

You can download my WIP here. Emulator used: FCEUX 2.1.4a Time: 04:06.29 Rerecord Count: 1447 Frames: 14802 About this game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Bugs_Bunny_Birthday_Blowout There's a bonus round after each level. To play bonus round, you need to get 10 carrots. Then, you need to get a combination that is stick together to get some extra lives. But in last level in each world, you have to smash Willy A Weasel and I don't know how many do you smash to get extra lives. About my WIP: In this run, I haven't discover any tricks/glitches in Youtube or something but I have discovered shortcut in level 1-3. in level 1-3, I've got 10 carrots but in bonus round, I've got no bonus because you can take slower if you have a bonus. And in level 1-4, I've got only 4 carrots because this bonus round is Willy A Weasel. In level 2-1, I don't know what should I do in this picture below here so that's why I stopped here.
