A = AVISource("movie.avi", "movie_02.avi") B = AVISource("movie.avi", "movie_02.avi") ConvertToRGB32()
"ConvertToRGB32()" has an empty parameter list, so effectively it becomes "ConvertToRGB32(clip=last)", but last was never set because you assigned the video to A and B instead.

Ok. Since I'm having trouble with the MKV for now, I will encode the YouTube encode.

IT STILL DOES NOT WORK?!

Yes. It still doesn't work after I amended the script. I will encode the YouTube now and I will encode the MKV after.

Update: my bootcamp is having a terrible glitch on Windows 10! It's lately been creating a local account and leaving m my Microsoft account behind! I'll have to re-install and hope it solves the problem.

The video you just uploaded is completely broken, you didn't even check if it was good before uploading. And you already had uploaded a YouTube encode of this same submission some time ago, so in the end, you messed it big this time. This speaks terrible about you as an encoder, and I don't think you should have the Encoder rank anymore until you fully understand anything at all.

He fucked it all up completely, Encoder rank was taken away forever, no one should return in. The only thing Sam is allowed to do is temp encodes on his own channel, I will never use any of his encodes for any publications.

That's a bit mean. I can still produce high quality Abe encodes after all. All I wanted to do in the first place was any runs that were made my me, publish them to my own YouTube channel and monetise them so I can earn money from all the TASing that me and Dooty have done. Basically a bit like when Sonicpacker uploaded the Mario 64 120 star run.

Super Mario 64 "120 Stars" - 431 489 views. Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus "100%" - 812 views. Like there's anything to monetize...

Having dozens of questions and then making the same mistake multiple times is starting to wear on people. When you cause problems for yourself every step of the way, is that not a sign that encoding isn't quite your strong suit? Friendly advice, be easier on yourself and drop encoding. There are surely other things you are much better at, and that's where your time and effort would better be spent. Besides, if all you want out of encoding is the money, there are many more efficient ways of getting it than through monetized video game speedruns

The Oddysee 100% got very popular in 2013 and when Dooty and I update it when Bizhawk is ready then I expect the new run will be popular again.

Have you read the first part of my post? You're stating that you want to upload all your encodes to TVC, then you call me mean for not allowing you to do it because you originally wanted to upload them to your own channel. You can still upload them to your channel all you want, just don't expect us to add them to publication modules.

According to a google search, a monetized video nets $2.50 USD per thousand views. Your 40k view TAS would get you $100, which is no doubt far less than if you worked one hour for minimum wage for every hour you TASed, and that's if you don't split it between you and Dooty EDIT: Shit I forgot google is yt EDIT EDIT: Oh you didn't work on that 40k TAS, lolwhoops. W/e, the point stands

Sam's best uploads have 40k-100k views, and there're only 4 of those that are Abe related. Looks like he only has some promotion on the RTA side. Sonicpacker's best vid has (drum-roll) over 4 million views (the next 2 best having 1m and 500k views)! And he doesn't actually need promotion since this is already the place where people would go for some new SM64 content (but he gets highly promoted anyway I guess). So I really don't expect any of the newer Sam's TASes to get over 10k views, even if posted on his channel, even if used in publication modules, even if made on BizHawk.

Speaking out of personal experience, that is a very generous estimate. In practice, the numbers are generally closer to around $1.00 per 1000 views, or up to $1.50 per 1000 views if you're lucky. (Since it depends on ads/clicks and not just views, the ratio tends vary a lot.)

Ok. I got a good idea. From now on, any submissions I submit, I will encode them before submitting and when the YouTube encode is at good enough standards, I will send the link to the publisher so he/she can use those links as part of the publication.

Well, feos used my encodes on the Abe submissions. Maybe I could send my YouTube encodes to the publisher so they can upload them to the TASVIdeos Youtube channel. I have no problem encoding Bizhawk and PSX movies. The output of the NDS turned out strange. I don't know why it looked like that in the first place.

IMO (!) an encoder should also have a bit of familiarity with the tools being used, so even if I wouldn't know why an encode failed I'd be able to debug and possibly rewrite the encoding script.

It is your opinion, but I highly doubt it will happen as I don't think even all of our current encoders understands all of the script and/or parameters used in x264.
