You could try specifying the framerate in MKVToolNix
How do I do this?

Add the source file, select the video track, select/enter a frame rate ("Properties:" - "Timestamps and default duration" - "Default duration/FPS:").

@creaothceann, I have entered 59.286 and 60 in the field, and I tried to encode the MP4 after applying changefps(60), but it does not fix the problem. The MKV does not look right, neither the 20 minute version nor the 11 minute fixed version. Portions of the video are missing or portions are played out of order. The MKV seems corrupted. What should I do?

Downgrade the encoder and/or MKVToolNix, or try it without the batch file - for example VirtualDub + x264vfw, or a manual call to x264 with only the most important parameters (e.g. "--crf 16").

What do you do about the aspect ratio of the Special Stages in Sonic 2? It is very different from the rest of the game where it is 4:3 and it still has the black bars on the sides.

Hello everyone, everything good? Next, I just bought a new computer, with configurations, processor and video card for current games as well and with Windows 10 Home 64 bit, but I'm having serious problems with encode the videos. I do the dump of the video by the emulator and the video does not work, it does not even show the video in pieces and with that problem I can not make encode my videos. I open the video and it gives an error with the code "0xc10100be". What could this be? Users of Windows 10, please help me, I have videos to do encode and unfortunately not getting on Windows 10!

Sorry for the flood, I just solved the previous problem (I just needed to download the emulator again, since what I had backed up was having trouble dumping videos), but my problem now is another one. When I go into the Encoding Package, I open the global.bat file and have three options (1 - No Change, 2 - CRT TV and 3 - LCD TV) and when I choose option 2 it appears avs2pipemod[error]: failed to create avisynth script environment. And with that I can not do the encode of SNES games in 2160p like I did on my old computer. My new computer has 16GB DDR4 RAM, Intel Core i7 7700k, GTX 1050 Ti 4G and Windows 10 Home. What should I do to work the CRT Tv Mode in global.bat?

Open global.bat in a text editor and remove @echo off. Open command prompt in the folder where global.bat is. Click on cmd's left corner, and in properties set buffer height to 999, also set allow mouse selection. Type in globcal.bat 2 3, hit enter. It will wait a few seconds and then print all the extra text to the screen. Select everything, rightclick (it copies the text), and paste here https://pastebin.com/ Save the paste and post the link.

That doesn't contain any more details, oh well. Does your .avs script open in virtualdub if you drag'n'drop it?

Unfortunately it does not work, this appears: AviSynth opening failure: Script error: o is no function called "ScriptDir" I'm really quite sad, I would not imagine that by switching to a top-of-the-line PC I would go through this with my Encoding Package, which is the latest version and always worked on my previous computer. But I hope together we can solve this huge problem.

Do you even have the latest avisynth installed?

I think I just solved it. It was the AviSynth version. I was with version 2.5 and I installed it to 2.6.0 and now, it looks like it's working normal the Encoding Package. It is now night in my country (Brazil) and I need to sleep, but as soon as I wake up I come back to say the result. Many thanks, Feos!

Yes, the Encoding Package now works normally. The problem was even AviSynth, which had an obsolete version. Now I have version 2.6.0 and the Encoding Package is working normally and perfectly. Many thanks, feos! The problem was simple to solve, but I was suffering here to solve it and thanks to you I can do the encodings again.

Hello TasVideos friends, how are you? Finally I solved the previous problems and I made excellent encodings again. As I said, I bought a new computer (yes, a PC Gamer with excellent settings for current games) and for the first time I was able to play and record a movie with Dolphin-master-5.0-10167-x64. The movie synchronizes perfectly, but making the encode is extremely labor intensive, because when I select the Dump Frames and Dump Audio options the video comes out with the completely ugly and dirty image and looks that I put the best image settings possible to make the image come out perfect . What should I do to make the video look perfect after it's dumped? Could someone explain me in an easy way? I await an answer. Thank you!

I'm not sure exactly what you mean by "completely ugly and dirty", but perhaps you are using a too low bitrate when dumping, since that is Dolphin's default settings. Either enable the lossless codec (this can be done in the GUI) or increase the dumping bitrate (this cannot be done in the GUI - the entry in GFX.ini is called BitrateKbps).

I still do not understand. When I do the encode of videos from other platforms, at the time of dump the video I always choose the Lagarith Loseless Codec because it appears in time to choose, but in Dolphin I do not know how to do the encode without the image leaving with poor quality. When I spoke in a "dirty and ugly" image, it means a blurry image without quality. I already tried to increase the resolution but the image is blurry. My PC is an Intel Core i7 7770k, I have 16GB DDR4, Video Card GTX 1050 Ti 4GB and the emulator works, the movies sync but I can not dump the videos with quality in Dolphin. I have already deleted the Dolphin Emulator folder (where the settings are and goes the video and audio dumpado) several times but I do not know what to do. Someone help me please! What settings should I use to dump the video in high quality? The version I used is dolphin-master-5.0-10167-x64 and I can not use another one, since the movies I recorded on it only sync with it (I did not test later versions yet)!

Thank you. It looks like it's working perfectly now. The image came out clean and perfect, but I could only open the video with VLC Media (I've always used Media Player Classic, but it displays a gray image of this dump). I'll do an encode tomorrow and give you feedback. Thank you JosJuice!

So I can finally start doing hardware-supported encoding for my projects and I need to tweak my command line to do so. The original line is
ffmpeg -i %source% -sws_flags neighbor+full_chroma_inp -c:v libx264 -crf 20 -bf -1 -b_strategy 2 -force_key_frames 00:00:00.000 -pix_fmt yuv420p -c:a aac -b:a 192k -vf scale=%scale%*iw:-1 %outfile%
, and the new codec is h264_amf. Is there anything I need to keep in mind other than the changes to -crf 20 and -bf -1? E: So it looks like I'm losing too much quality using the hardware encoder. Back to CPU encoding.

In general hardware encoding is inferior quality than x264, as you have seen. Though, I must admit I have not been keeping up so there might be an hardware encoder who does better.

Is there a method to madness to sync the speed of an OpenGL pcsx-rr dump to that of a Software pcsx-rr dump at all? I have provided files for 2 games which run at different frame rates. Tekken 3 (60fps) - Software (560MB) / OpenGL (404MB) / Zip File (964MB) Crash Bandicoot (30fps) - Software (311MB) / OpenGL30 (500MB) / OpenGL60 (495MB) / Zip File (1.26GB) -- Yes, I know I could've made these 320x240 but I did 640x480 instead. All these are using Lagarith. -- Probably the most noticeable thing about the OpenGL dump is there's practically no loads. In Tekken 3 directly at the end of the first round there should be a bit of a load for the next character Mokujin becomes. In Crash Bandicoot's loading should exist 5 times before loading into the first level and not jumped over. Another thing to note using Crash Bandicoot. You have to dump at the game's framerate (30fps) not the console's framerate (60fps) to have the correct speed. But which is actually correct in this situation? Is there a method such as using ExactDedup to actually make this work? Or is it something I'm somehow missing in kkapture after doing every possible combination?
