Greece vs. Russia was another fun match, with the Greek managing to get one in against Russia and then during the second half firmly standing their ground against the very offensive Russian team and making it through.

Russia and Poland really let themselves down tonight. Two fantastic teams playing great football couldn't close the deal and two of the weakest sides in the tournament snuck through.

I'm sure you're only saying this because Poland dropped out of the football competition.

I'm so happy that Greece made it to the next round. Now their next match will be more than just football, it will be political! How ironic... I wish I could feel the same for the actual greek politics. Today, my worst expectations came true :/

We didn't deserve it, just like we didn't deserve to win the World Championship. It's too bad, but it is the way it is. Go Germany.

Yea, Greece just came out this Group, but they hit the bigger enemy, than Russia - GERMANY.

So much for the smaller, less popular countries of getting a chance of reaching the half finals. Oh well, these results weren't really unexpected anyway.

You don't get it. It gets so much more better when more balls enter the picture!

So the Germans lost... And it was against Italy once more. I really thought they could get the title this time, but it turned out that they were unable react against two goals from a strong opponent. Their defense made many unforgivable mistakes and they're lucky to not have gotten a 3:0 or 4:0. And when they were attacking succesfully for once, they were stopped by being unlucky or Buffons skills. We could debate for hours now, what the reasons for this were. Maybe it was the decision to play with Gomez and Kroos from the start, their fear from Italy and the fact that they could never beat them at a tournament. Or they just had a bad day. Anyway, Italy was the better team and I hope they win in the final.

Aaand it ended with a brutal beatdown of Italy by Spain. Great match, Spain still managing to win the championship by a wide margin and utterly dominating the opponent.

Thank you! We hadn't beaten Italy in a competitive match that didn't end in penalties since 1920. First the World Cup two years ago and now the Euro again. This is amazing!

Makes you question the 1-1-match.
