Veman3000, Lo1ts, and I are settled on the first 3 levels. Can't think of any more timesavers there might for those, completely figured out. It's safe to start the TAS but we're still looking into levels 4 and onward.
This looks great with all the new tricks. I can't wait to see te next levels!
As a german speaking person, you just have to love the guards shouting at Bond in german. Especially the dialogue, where they talk about how cold it is and that they need to get some booze ^^

I have never really liked much James Bond games but given the tricks you used, this looked quite entertaining. I will definitely keep an eye on your future wips.
Just dropping this here in case someone wants to go for an improvement:

This IL speedrun gets the OoB in Enemies Vanquished faster than the TAS!

I think there's still a ways to go before an improved TAS is ready to be made. There is a new ~30 second timesaver in Chain Reaction, that's a great start, but with myself and a few other guys working on IL's for the game now I'm sure a lot more improvements are coming in the next 6 months or so. Best to wait until things die down.
Some new finds since the Ronin jump shortcut in Chain Reaction:
Clipping into the TR-2 building via the fire escape and using the Ronin to get up through the floor - http://www.twitch.tv/ollienk/v/27037164

Rook can be killed quickest by laying remote mines down where he spawns and detonating them - (no video atm)
Hey guys! My name is FitterSpace, and i've been speedrunning this game for about 3 months now. (some of the videos in this thread were made by me). I would love to see a new TAS of this game, and am willing to work with anybody that wants to do that. Let me know if anything comes up. This game has really changed over the past few months. The RTA WR is about 4 minutes faster than the WR at the time the last TAS was made, so i'm sure there is a huge potential for a new TAS.
EDIT: Also, about something that alec mentioned. In countdown, it's faster to put some mines down where rook will spawn and detonate them as soon as he spawns. Since most RTA runners play on Operative, putting down 3 mines in front of the door, or 4 mines further away from the door (which ends up being slightly faster) would not be enough to kill him on 00 agent, which is the difficulty the TAS would be playing on. As far as I know, you would have to put down 4 or 5 mines in front of the door where he spawns, detonate them, then shoot him in the head a few times with the AIMS or the P2K and that should kill him quickly.
1. Does it always clip you underground?
2. If so, are there any instances where you may get "stuck"?
Clipping in this game will always put you through the ground. You can only clip through walls in some very specific cases. However, It's really common to be able to clip through the ground, move a certain distance, and then jump to get back inbounds. Using this, you can clip underneath walls instead of going through them.
It doesn't work everywhere, but it works in a lot of places. I couldn't get the new clip to work in section 1 of Chain Reaction, and it was tough to get in certain parts of countdown. Also sometimes you will pop back inbounds after changing elevations (going up or down stairs is a good example).
Sometimes, I will go OoB for a few frames then pop back inbounds. I'm not sure what causes this, but i will play around with the glitch some more. I have currently found two uses for this glitch:
1) There is a faster clip you can do in the party section on The Exchange
2) You can skip the elevator sequence in Phoenix Fire, which saves over a minute.
So this got found today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PSg1jfqQlR8
The video above shows a way to clip into the elevator loading zone on Night Shift much faster than any other method. It was discovered by OllieNK. The only problem is that the clip Ollie did doesn't seem to work on the NTSC version of the game (Ollie plays on PAL). I spent about an hour trying to find a setup and figuring out when to crouch but I got nothing. Ollie was getting the clip in real time pretty often and I had no idea what was different. Lo1ts figured out that you can clip into the other elevator door very easily on the NTSC version, which is what you see in the video. This wouldn't be the first time a clip differed between versions. I'm not sure exactly how much time it saves but I believe it's around 10 seconds. Ollie and I have been trying to find new time saves for the past few weeks and we have found quite a bit of new stuff.
So this also got found: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PU37svAb5Dg
This video shows a new way to clip into the TR-2 building. It saves a lot of time over doing the first section normally. The alternative way to do this clip is to place a Ronin in the OoB space to reset your position. You will then be in the building. The reason this clip may be faster is because you don't have to wait for the crazy long animation that the Ronin does when you want to pick it up again. Further testing will need to be done to determine how much time this saves, if any. (and i really hope it's faster because this is a cool clip)
