Don't TAS me, bro! Can people think of others? How about my signature?
If I could have a tool-assisted real life, I'd... Being a novice, I'd probably load the wrong state, have the IRS AI bankrupt me, and eventually make me want to kill myself and redo 11 years of hard work.

Neither of those are very funny.

There was a Red Dwarf episode where everything in the world was going in reverse (kind of like rewinding in a TAS). There's a poor quality capture of it on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36xSrKhCojw If you've never seen it it's worth watching. Also, here's another higher quality portion of the reverse episode, in reverse: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8jxmkgBgtU It's not exactly relevant but it's the closest I could get. :) A.C. ******

So, two TASers walk into a bar, and...

Two TASers walk into a bar. The second one reloads from a save state and luck manipulates the bar out of his way. The first TASer is pissed since his 'walks into all bars 100%' run just got ruined. The bartender asks them, <cutscene>

Well, since these don't have to be funny, how about a horrible pun? What do you call Satan when he uses save states and luck manipulation to achieve his goals of bringing the population of Australia to Hell? The TASmanian Devil.

How many TASers do you need to change a lightbulb?

None, the Lua script running in the background prevents the lightbulb from ever needing a change.

It doesn't matter, since everyone will vote no for poor goal choice?

Why did the TASer cross the road?

To set up a long chain of events which causes a cow to fall off a cliff, a mouse to be abducted by aliens, all culminating in the princess standing on the other side which looks a lot like the side you started on. The kingdom is saved! Press B for a harder quest.

One, but it will only get accepted into the vault, if anything.
If I could have a tool-assisted real life, I'd... Being a novice, I'd probably load the wrong state, have the IRS AI bankrupt me, and eventually make me want to kill myself and redo 11 years of hard work.

This thread might have more merit if there were actually jokes here.

There are! Just bad ones, though. The Pokemon Yellow one has potential, though! Oh, and why is Mario's hat red? So you can tell him apart from a hippopotamus!

Ok, maybe we should start adapting existing, but less known jokes to TASing. Like for example: "My wife told me that either I stop making tool-assisted speedruns, or she will leave me." "But that's terrible!" "Indeed. I will miss my wife quite a lot."

That's a better approach, but the best jokes would work only with the subject matter. Cut and paste jokes will only get us so far as well.

What takes more work than a Super Mario 64 "120 Stars" TAS? TWO Super Mario 64 "120 Stars" TASes!

This "joke" makes as much sense as your other joke about mario being a hippo. Besides, clearly 2 TAS's takes more effort than one. Wait, you haven't even done one serious one to know.
