Enjoyable little run so far! Now it's time to fight Reptile! Will that be part of the next run? Also, I'm doing some testing still. Here's what I've found so far: 00,000 = Kano, ladder shows you're Johnny Cage, but that's not true. 00,500 = Johnny Cage 01,000 = Rayden 01,500 = Johnny Cage 02,000 = Johnny Cage 02,500 = Johnny Cage 03,000 = Johnny Cage 03,500 = Johnny Cage 04,000 = Null, freeze 04,500 = Null, blackout. 05,000 = Null, blackout. 05,500 = Johnny Cage 06,000 = Johnny Cage 06,500 = Null, freeze. 07,000 = Null, blackout. 07,500 = Null, blackout. 08,000 = Scorpion 08,500 = Johnny Cage 09,000 = Johnny Cage 09,500 = Johnny Cage 10,000 = Null, blackout. 10,500 = Null, blackout. 11,000 = Johnny Cage 11,500 = Null, blackout. 12,000 = Johnny Cage 12,500 = Null, glitchy. 13,000 = Null, freeze. 13,500 = Null, glitchy. 14,000 = Null, stuck. 14,500 = Johnny Cage 15,000 = Johnny Cage 15,500 = Goro 16,000 = Null, but actually the funniest game freeze I've ever seen. 16,500 = Johnny Cage 17,000 = Null, freeze. 17,500 = Null, freeze. 18,000 = Null, stuck. 18,500 = Null, blackout. 19,000 = Null, blackout. 19,500 = Null, blackout. 20,000 = Johnny Cage 20,500 = Null, freeze. 21,000 = Null, blackout. 21,500 = Null, blackout. 22,000 = Johnny Cage 22,500 = Johnny Cage

Rick, don't forget to test the values that result in a glitched Battle Plan (you can't see the enemy list, but just 1 or 2 names in a black screen). You might meet a glitched character in some next battle. EDIT: By the way, there's always a glitched battle somewhere before the mirror match. Regardless of what the Battle Plan shows. EDIT2: It is controlled by the score as well.

Good call, I hadn't tested that a whole lot yet because I've been busy with work (and then after work, I'm getting my ass back on that MMX 100% run). I ended up having a little free time before bed, so I tried out as many things as I had time for. I think I can easily eliminate the ones that result in glitches, then work with the ones I've done. I'd like to try and figure out a way to get up to 25,000 points without winning the match to see what happens, because I don't know how winning the match too affects the outcome (before the bonuses get tallied in, of course).

How about losing or drawing a round?

2 cheat codes: Infinite Time - 7E0122 9A P2 Infinite Health - 7E04BB A1 The score is stored in 4-byte hex, just like it is shown. For example, 15500 is 00 01 55 00 in memory. RAM watch file example:
address = 0x7E0024, name = "P2 character", size = 2, format = 3
address = 0x7E0029, name = "P2 score", size = 4, format = 3
address = 0x7E0022, name = "P1 character", size = 2, format = 3
address = 0x7E0025, name = "P1 score", size = 4, format = 3

So are the score and the character fairly close together in terms of game data, like you have listed? If so, I'm starting to see a little bit how things might get affected, though I'm uncertain.

I don't really know how it's affected... the score does not overflow... but it messes up the upcoming battles somehow.... maybe it is read as some kind of pointer to an unexpected area in the ROM? We need to find where and how the battle plan is stored, to watch the changes directly.

That seems about right, it is messing with the Battle Plan. I've noticed on the battle plans that it seems to be the same general set of plans of people, as far as I've seen in playthroughs of the game. The endurance matches seem a bit random, but again, I'm going to do a few test run things and see what happens after I finish my class grades.

Let's just pretend this game doesn't exist.

I thought you managed to keep things mildly interesting, which is definitely a compliment given how little there is to work with in comparison to other fighting games, including MK2 and 3.

Unless there's a way to exploit the glitch and finish the game faster, it has 0 chance of being published...

The main point of a MORTAL KOMBAT tas is entertainment. you know like ai manipulation and such. sure the fights have to be pretty fast but they dont have to be the absolute fastest.

I found this game really dull to watch. It just didn't feel like there was very much going on.

It starts off normal, but then calls a "Game Over" and your character burns into a skeleton like in Scorpion or Sonya's fatality. It's like the game's version of a double middle finger. :p

That's when you can do the "Missingno fighter" glitch

since i didn't find any other thread for mortal kombat1,i'll post some info about the first game here: for fastest rounds(tasing for speed),the candidates are basically just punching the whole lifebar plus a move that kills whatever's left,anything else in this game is way too slow and takes more time,this version of the game also lacks major combos,since its gravity is strong and attacks have massive delay after them each 5 punches a character does produces pushback,but there's no pushback in the corner so you can infinite people with jabs in the snes version both on ground and air,in the midsection you'll just have to follow and make him get jabbed even more you can manipulate the enemy to do an attack that moves him closer or simply jump yourself since it's faster than walking,it would be an insanely boring run to be honest and the rounds would be done before the timer goes below 90, i believe(i got a 92 after a lot of tries and now a 93).

hi,i've made some calculations about flawless victory compared to normal rounds: 3249scorpionwinsround1(130) 3379time bonus(127) 3506flawless victory(125) 3631screen dimming 4897scorpionwinsround2(131) 5028time bonus(125) 5153strength bonus(121) 5274screen dimming 6497wins(129) 6626time bonus(125) 6751str bonus(121) 6872screen dim 8053wins(131) 8184time bonus(127) 8311flawless(125) 8436screen dim 246normal round 252 flawless- only six frames of difference as you can see i tested both for round1 and 2 to make sure the difference was actually on the round result instead of the round's number and unless i can get an easily blockable move in the first moment,the speedrun should go for flawless rounds,double flawless is the same. 4407scorpionwinsround2(130) 4537time bonus(127) 4664doubleflawless bonus(125) 4789screen dimming

somebody complained about embedding too many videos in another thread, and considering they're short, i'll just post a description https://youtu.be/c-RJALMR6Dw https://youtu.be/k1UejvRCt-8 Both are Kano combos, one is for max knives and the other is just trying to do as many different attacks as possible and i have confirmed that the grounded knee is an infinite.This knee infinite can also be started from an uppercut, but uppercuts don't let you buffer the knees, which makes timing the hits much harder. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01YeZmcA4_Y the knee
