After watching WIP #3, if you stop in a fare's circle before the previous fare is dropped off, you "automatically" pickup the new fare. What happens is the new fare jumps in after the first one is out. It's a little faster since you don't have to drive to get the new fare. The running animation (standard pickup) still applies to this. Crazy drift on the center of the freeway? That's something awesome. Especially since the center tries to throw you off it with those bumps.

I love that much more than the last WIP. I expected a little more from the Stadium parking lot because it was bland compared to what I do casually but the change you made in the latest WIP far exceeded my expectations like everything else. I noticed that for Sky Bank when you did the drift before stopping, you hit a car which reset your combo. Is it possible to avoid that? It just looks sloppy since you earned a few tips after hitting the car.

Yeah I see what you're looking at for Sky Bank. I can definitely just drive left instead of making the crazy wide turn. It's all about guessing-and-checking for the turn I made which required me to only use L+A and L alternating to make that turn and get as close as I did to the next customer(which beat all my other attempts of that turn by at least 15 frames)

Wow. That money. Go for the WR! Keep up the green drops, and going fast.

Someone said I could essentially run indefinitely and max out the score. Should I go for a long run like that which would just consist of going back and forth on the freeway really or just do crazy license at 20k?

I'd go for fastest 20k then. Maybe continue as another run if you like from there. It's fun to watch your WIPs. Great work.

The game will show credits if you get rank 20 or better (I think). So the run does have the "Must reach the credits" requirement done. But, how far can it go? What are the limits? Go for the WR score, then push way beyond it! I don't know if you should keep doing the Stadium, to Police Station to Hospital/Borders/Theater/Bank to Stadium. It would kill entertainment but seeing a 100+ combo on your return to the stadium. HOLY S%!$* That's TAS.

I say: First submit a 20k Crazy License TAS. Then submit a play-around that gets as high score as possible. I say play-around because watching the same route over and over for a very long time is going to be VERY boring. To counter that, add the speed/entertainment tradeoff that you take different destinations, and try to drive different + do different tricks to keep the entertainment. By the way: Loving the progress so far. Keep up the great work.

What is the max score for this game? Does it stop at $99,999, $2,147,483,647, or what?

why’d you halve it?

Wouldn't it be $21,474,836.47?

I don't, I was just telling you were he got the number: it's the maximum value of a signed integer (32 bit, 1 for sign, so 2^31 - 1).

Probably. If it was a float you'd eventually run into rounding errors, and I'm not sure how the cpu would handle that.

It doesn't need to be more precise than a penny. It should just be 2,147,483,647 * $0.01.

Hmm.. im at like what 12k now or something within 4 minute? lets see 21 million in fares will take..... 3k/min, 116.6 hours.. that math is probably way off

Well, even if it is order of magnitude too large, that is still way too much.

That is still assuming the value is signed. If unsigned (the game never gives a negative cash value), it would be 233.3 hours...

Maybe use cheats and find out the max value?
Just find the value, determine the size of memory used to store it, then flip the most significant bit to determine if it is signed. Then set the remaining bits to 1 and earn a bit of cash to have the game correct it to the proper max.

I'm almost done wtih Crazy License TAS, should be complete by tomorrow possibly if I get some time in. Got4n and I are working on a Crazy Box run as well for fun. We wanted to test the bike out, so we made a verification movie for it. so now we have the bike! Should make for a fun TAS.

An individual fare does not exceed $99,999.99. You run out of customers eventually and with limited green destinations, those large combos will end. Even with TAS, solarplex isn't building any time much like myself which is required to drop 400 combos. It almost takes 2 minutes of crazy back drifting to max a fare. With the timer at 70 and easiest difficulty however, you can reach 100k with just a few customers. I'm only human so it took me a little longer to reach 12k with these settings, lol. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dc3jcGMBVrs

Etch, you'll have to guide us along the way haha ) For the max score, I was testing out the timer. An example on how you can't really gain time is that with one fare I could finish with 10s remaining and the next customer allows me up to 48s on the timer... Load state and now end on 9s remaining and that same customer gives me 48s on the timer still. So there has to be a cap on how much you can have at a certain time I believe. Once you go into normal or slow finishes then you start to lose time on your total game timer
