Race by Gay that is fast, less time than the previous establishment.

FISHERIES

This is where most of the improvement coming. Better handling of luck for more points = a faster finish.

LEAP OF ICE

This is a pain level of TAS. Especially since there are many platforms that would save much time if they could reach. I removed tradeoffs. It saves 80 frames.

HOCKEY

Not much to say about this. It was optimized even in the last race. Saving is minor; a new trick is to be as fair as possible to trigger the signal YOU WON some faster frame.

SNOWBALL FIGHT

Another place where I saved a lot of time. Better manipulation.
Total improvement: 469 frames. 7.81 seconds.

Noxxa: Replaced submission file with a 134-frame improvement.
Noxxa: Judging.
Noxxa: Delaying, pending a potential improvement.

Hello Gay. Was any of Kurabu's inputs or general strategies used on this improvement?

No, I play myself, every level is different. I even took different routes in the level of ice jumping. It's the same speed, but it makes the race personalized

what I'm saying since the movie has no tradeoffs anymore, it should be vaulted. I'm gonna check the input anyway by tommorrow, and possibly apply improvements since I'm aware of some menuing related.

I don't think 80 frames of tradeoffs is what made the pivotal difference.

uhh you're right. I still have to check the input though, you never know, just to be safe.

I do not agree with that. Most of the improvements eat from the fishing stage (272 frames finished faster) and step snowball (second fastest finish). I do not think I just got rid of the glitch and Submitted it. Your movie was a reference point, but it is not in this run. This movie is my own, and if you want to make improvement, sure. It's just minor what the saving is, and I saw people saying they did not like the trade anyway, so I went for the fastest time.

Stage 1 you're 272 frames faster. *Stage 2 you're 79 frames faster. Stage 3 you're 15 frames slower. Stage 4 you're 131 frames faster. *It should be noted that Kura deliberately slew down his game the second note is that Gay got the first jump on the first section earlier than Kura who waited for the next cycle.

The gameplay in the first game of hockey is faster, I lost a little because I could not get the bounce out of the second type as the RNG, did not calculate the exact amount. I looked to edit, but ended up losing my good RNG on the fourth level where I ended up saving more than 15 frames. So I cut my losses. I will take a look again, but do not get your hopes up too high.

It's faster. The difference in entertainment isn't big. So I'd say it's Moon-worthy.

I would love that very much. Besides, if what Spike said was true, I'm pretty sure this can be improved.

As for this now. So far I do not think that any improvement will be massive. It is worth looking at, no doubt about that, however. Please wait and be patient while I implement some things I've looked at.

improvements over this movie so far day 1: 1 frame day 2: 6 frame day 3: 44 frame At this point, I have improved my film, this time by 51 frames. Will be finished, but may have to take a second look, I think I lost a few frames somewhere. But probably we will have saved more than 8 seconds over the race Kurabupengin. : D I will not cancel, but replace the file. It will not be long before the finish.

Cool, I'd really love to see how far this can be pushed. It seems like a simple game (and I guess it is) but there's quite a bit that's interesting and precise from a TAS standpoint.

I finished an update. The improvement over this presentation is 134 frames. And now, the improvement over the dekutony published film is 603 frames. Yes, we have improved over 10 seconds, I never expected it would be possible. : ) Download : tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/23981124321771342

Sorry for sounding mean at all, but I overreacted because this is a very recent publication from mine, and also, you didn't told me anything about these improvements, which I've could easily help you with them. You could easily posted in the thread. Still, I have a few questions for you Mr. Rodriguez: Did you optimized the GOODPLAY!! screens? And also, did you optimized the hockey stage which was the stage where you messed up? Sorry for the inconveniences.

I didn't know you could skip it, the Goodplay scenes. I will add that, it should not be a hard thing to implement, since I can use text. And yes, the hockey game is now all faster.

Was that intentional or the most apt typo of all time? I'm tempted to take a look at this game, myself. I feel like there are still some improvements to be made.

No, he's absolutely right. I had intended to write the following comment about the previous run's submission: "Why would you cost yourself frames in order to show off a glitch? This is obviously a Vault run, so anyone will be able to obsolete your run just by removing those wasted frames. The glitch isn't that impressive that it's worth losing frames over." I never did, and then my jaw dropped when I saw that it was published non-Vault. The cut scenes and walking to the mini-games take longer than the action, and the "action" is just four boring mini-games. The previous run should never have been published outside of the Vault and, barring some amazing glitch (ideally one that skips almost all of the cutscenes), there is probably nothing that you or anyone else can do to make it entertaining. I second the motion to downgrade.
