After knowing Nester wasn't eligible for vault, this is the only VB game worth TASing I can think of. This game is a topdown shooter, a spinoff title from the Megami Tensei series, and the first one to be localized in the US. I think a TAS of this game could work pretty well, so I'm picking this up. Currently I'm testing various things before I get into TASing this. Here's hoping it will go well.

here's the 1st area of 6: Link to video Input: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/30065294345135515 I ended up choosing Jack o' Lantern, because he deals more damage than Jack Frost, and Jack the Ripper Skelton has terrible range in his attacks, hell, he doesn't even shoot, and even then, his special move animation is slower. So, I wasn't able to get a speed potion thingy on Floor 1 for some reason, the slimes didn't feel like giving me anything useful, such bastards. Floor 2 was much more smooth, since the Goblin's item drop RNG gave me a speed potion. Floor 3 was the boss. I kill her in 2 special hits. Unfortunately, my stars don't replenish after I enter a new area, so RNG manipulation from this point onwards is going to be a pain. Hopefully it will all go well from here.

Does the Virtual Boy emulator you're using allow setting the colors to grayscale? I know some of them do. Would make a much better encode.

VBjin does not have these settings as far as I'm aware, but BizHawk does have these options I think... tho I don't know for sure, I'm 32-bit so I can't really use it. But when I have a better PC, I might restart the project there for sure.

Just saying that your TAS uses easy difficulty. The hardest difficulty can be unlocked via cheat code (which should be accepted) or finishing the game IIRC. Latest WR https://www.speedrun.com/run/z0eeeo9m
