Sorry we didn't get to this sooner. We've recently clarified our stance on extracted games. If you extract an N64 game from a Wii download, and it's a new valid N64 game, you can TAS it with an N64 emulator. If the Virtual Console method is the only way to play the game, because whatever you can extract isn't actually valid for whatever system and depends on Virtual Console hacks, you can TAS the game in the Virtual Console.
