The game is called "Wrecking Crew" and it has the character Mario in it. http://www.allgame.com/cg/agg.dll?p=agg&SQL=GIH||||14938
If someone could complete the one hundred phases and produce a movie/speedrun, that would be great.
Hi,
yes. This is nice indeed. I remember lively being flamed for playing this game and even finding it fun.
All of my classmates did not really like this game, but I had much fun with it - especially because it had this level-editor included where you could create nice exploding cascades - if I remember correctly.
But for a Speedrun I think it suffers from the same problem as all other puzzle-games: A run would be more a walkthrough than anything else, so I won't probably be published because it's boring to watch.
I for my part would have quite some fun watching a run...

Yeah, it was released in '98, when the SNES was basically obsolete and the only "franchise title" left was Rockman&Forte, but it's interesting because it includes both an exact port of the NES original (no new colors and the same bleeps and bloops) and a clever, colorful VS. mode/puzzle game.

Let's smash some walls!!
In this amazing game from the 80s, you play Mario, in his role as a carpenter levelling various buildings and parts of building to the ground with your hammer and the occasional bomb. But watch out! Your rival carpenter, Spike, is just as anxious to knock down some walls as you are! And he's brought company! Can Mario win the day before Spike and company? Only you can decide!
That said, let's get ourselves a Wrecking Crew thing goin'! And yes, I know I'm being rather pushy lately, what with two (three, counting the one I'm about to make in conjuction with this one) game requests and whatnot, but I have lots of interests. ^_^;
[EDIT by Bisqwit: Merged your post into the existing thread. I suggest using "search" before posting new topics.]
[REPLY by Joseph Collins: I did and it didn't turn up squat. I'd appreciate it if you didn't assume I don't search for these things before I make topics for them.]
Without the golden hammer, it'd be too slow, I think.

My run picks up the Golden Hammer in level 4. The luck-manipulation is insanely simple: Remainder of (x+y)/8. x is the number of times the hammer has been swung in the level, and y is the level number. So I swing the hammer aimlessly at one point.
...huh, there's an actual general method of doing it? I thought it only appeared in Level 6 by smashing three bombs in a certain order.

Wrecking Crew "1-100ALL" [57:33.50]
I haven't played the game but as the title suggests it seems to play from level 1 - 100. Recently posted on nicovideo.
