That's pretty weird because I don't have that problem with Win Xp with all the latest patch.Except with DivX movies but XviD pretty weird.

This game looks like the hardest NES game ever. Insanely hard. I'm sorry it's over so soon. :( I would love to see the skipped levels done with the same mastery. Would the author(s) do a warpless speedrun for this one? *hoping*

Well don't hink so there was too many desyncronisation during gameplay. It was a nightmare doing this game.Or maybe blip can find the solution of that desync problem ;) .

Has anyone ever beaten this game without cheating?

Can you explain what you mean by desyncronisation? Desync of what? Caused by what? If it's caused by having to do 2 players, why not do a single player warpless version? O:) Anyone else find this game hilarious? I love the exaggerated violence. The boot, the karate chop, the ramming horns, the sounds.

Hardest game ever is Dragons Lair! Sorry for going off topic but Dragons Lair and Battletoads is the most hard games I've ever played.

Interesting, I think Gauntlet is easier than Battletoads.I'm waiting your run at full speed no rerecord and no warps for Battletoads.

I was finally forced to remove this video and the dragon warrior video from my hard drive since they caused software crashes, triggered strange windows bugs and more by their mere existence. Bisqwit: Is there any chance that you will mark which videos are made with which codec on your site? I want to avoid those recorded with this codec.

I'll make a mental note at that.

Ok, I managed to fix it, so I guess I wont be avoiding them after all :). It would still be nice to know which codec was used for the recording though. It helps a lot when trying to find the fix for errors or if you do not have the specific codec.

Try changing the FourCC code of the AVIs from "XVID" to "DX50" with a hex editor. Works for me when I have problems viewing XviD avis.

The movie is recorded with a new version of the xvid codec which maybe makes it require an update to the codec you are using to decode. Try running it through gspot. Gspot failed me on this one though. Said I had the right codec, but I had to update. It seems more and more like the xvid dev group did a poor job with this new version.

Not sure what's wrong with your BT client or your video players, but I had NO trouble with either. I recommend Azureus for torrents and VLC for viewing. End of problems.

What kind of smartass comment is that? Lots of people have had problems with conflicts between the new xvid codec and explorer.

hmmm i tried doing a run on NESTICLE using the keyboard and virtual fps at 40, but it has some scroll bug or something that on level 4 i wasn't able to see the platform under, so i didn't know when to jump, i landed on pikes, so i gave up by the way, there was a bug at level 3 you didn't do on your time attack, it goes like this: just before getting into the jet-moto thingy, you RUN (double tap) and JUMP in a way you will hit the car while going up. that way you will do a big jump that will be enough to go screens up, you will fall only 6 seconds later or so;...

I noticed that nobody has commented on this, but... The FMV posted is broken. On level 11 the HypnoBall just kills them over and over. I was a little miffed since I've never beaten his game (even with save states) and I was hoping to finally see the ending. ;)

Actually, keep watching. After the second player loses all his lives and is ejected (temporarily) from the game, player 1 takes over and beats the level alone. The second player returns in level 12. This was required because of an emulation error (and level 11 just sucks all around, IMO). Quite an interesting run, btw. Good job. :)

Oh, hehe. I had no idea. I do agree though, level 11 really blows as I've not been able to beat it (haven't tried slowing the game down with FAMtasia yet though).

OH MY GOD! I FOUND A BUG IN THE GAME THAT ALLOWS YOU TO FINISH THE 10TH LEVEL JUST BY BEATING THE FIRST RUNNER! WOOT!!!!!!! there i was, trying to make a speedrun without savestates, and then at level 10 all was going well, i had used no continues, no warps, and playing on the keyboard at full speed. after i get through the first runner (i kicked the bomb) i always wanted to give him a big headbutt attack but all i could do was hit him with puny punches. i knew i could hit him, just needed the right timing. this time i did it. i hit him full power and he bounced up. i then did a big boot kick on him and for my surprise it's the level complete music!!! the level ended and i was at level 11!!!!!! genisto and phil, sorry but u gonna have to do level 11 and level 12 again cause this is a glitch that has to be used on the timeattack. i got the fmv for famtasia, if u want to check it out i can send you. i am 99% sure this glitch have never been found, so here it is for your delight ;) use wisely
