Submission Text Full Submission Page
This is the most action-packed TAS that ever existed. Screw Mario, Sonic, Legend of Zelda, Metroid, MegaMan, no, watch this instead. This makes those games look like shit.
McDonald's: Golden Arch Adventures is truly deserving of its title. In this TAS, you will experience the adventure of having to look at two yellow (not golden) arches.
This game also has the best music ever! These are some rockin' tunes! You know what, I'm gonna dance to it. Here you go! *stands still and does nothing*
This game is also far ahead of its time. The video game genre of still images being placed on screens to stare at was revolutionized by the extreme popularity of this game. All one lines of code used to make this game were spent with hard, meticulous work for an awesome product. This game is so complex, it couldn't be completely dissected. Never can one find meaning behind every pixel represented on that image. Nothing will ever replace this masterpiece; it will be in our memories forever.
Also, this submission text is by far the longest I've ever written. And this game totally has a completion goal. Very competitive game; I'm sure somebody will beat this tomorrow, with 0:00.01, so why even submit it? Awesome staring strats were used to make this.
Wait, whoa, you rejected this submission? The ghost of Ronald McDonald's great grandfather will haunt you for the rest of your life!

Special thanks

  • EZGames69 - for the awesome, excellent encode

But seriously

  • This game could be replaced by the actual McDonald's logo. In the early 1980s, people didn't have Google Images, so I can't argue that they could've just looked up a better image than this, but hell, they could still just go to McDonald's and stare at the logo. Heck, wouldn't it be better to just go there to buy somethi- waaaaaaaaitttt a minute!!!
I GET IT! I TOTALLY GET IT NOW! That was the reason they made this game, wasn't it? To make it so bad, it sells. Clever sales trick.
If you look long enough, and say "I'm lovin' it" enough times, the M will move by one quarter of a pixel. But this is a 15-hour challenge. Who will be the unlucky person to say "dare" on truth or dare for this one?
Thank you. *bows*

Masterjun: I'm not afraid of some ghost! Come at me!
Masterjun: It was mentioned this game is too educational for this site. Rejecting for teaching me how to spell.

I'm usually committed to watching shit Aprill Fool jokes. But this is literally a single frame, which does nothing, but just sit there, menacingly. Mainly because the game is not a game at all. It's load and your done, stare at the arches. Only that this decides to cleverly use Arial font to try and engage the user. What would've been better to pull this joke is to match up the frame count to the first dialogue showing up and then the no response working in terms of context to it. What would've also sealed this TAS to actually have some commitment in being a joke for a one frame TAS with Arial being displayed is to match the floor color of Bronze (from the looks of it) and actually hunted down an 8bit font in the style of A2600 to use instead of Arial. In terms of Context of what year the "game" was made (1983) I can't let you get away with it completely with the "Sir, are you going to order anything?" As McDonald's back then (and some now) actually lookout into the drive-thru to see the car, so they can say "Welcome to McDonald's may I take your order?" so something more interesting in terms of that inserted dialogue at the end would've been smarter than coming off dull as the staff member is aware of existence, so like them checking with the microphone seeing if that's actually activated, or making a joke that the customer is no longer there would've been stronger. Terms of jokes, and the payoff of a joke that's trying to commit to something. I'm giving this a No. April Fools it is. Humorous for what's provided it isn't.

... And I thought my "FCEUX Unlock MLG Mode" submission from a few years ago was a lame attempt at an April Foo errr Purge Night joke. Perhaps if you'd put in some sort of end-gag (like, I dunno, an FNaF jumpscare or something?) you might have made this actually worth a look... but you didn't. Guess I'm voting No then.

I see more effort in creating the game than this TAS. Very educational, reject it.

I see the joke, but I prefer there were no text at all. And with no text at all, this doesn't really offer any entertainment to me. No.
