Post subject: BizHawk Accepts The Rom But I Can Only See A Black Screen

I have been using BizHawk for about 8 months now. It has been working perfectly until now. BizHawk will accept the rom I emulate and the controls still work, but I can't see anything. All I get is a black screen. I don't know why it's doing this. It's been fine in the past. My sister did something to the computer and now there is a bunch of white spots all over the screen. I doubt that it had nothing to do with this but it is a possibility. I have been searching around for answers but the poster ended up giving up. Can you help me find a solution? Thanks.

There's a bit of information missing. - What core are you using (Basically what console)? - What version of Hawk are you using? - What game are you trying to run?

I have also done a Full Scan with Norton antivirus which I know is a bad antivirus but I'm on my grandmother's laptop so I can't do anything about it. Norton for some reason removes files it thinks is a virus even though it's not. So that might be a problem. Edit: Reinstalling BizHawk didn't work.

Trying to install the latest stable BizHawk release didn't work. Edit: The latest developer release for BizHawk doesn't work either.

Well, this is weird. Emulators somewhat related to BizHawk do the same thing. It happens with BizHawk, Project64, and Mupen 64. Though Dolphin and Mesen work. But those three don't work. Now I realize that I may be looking in the wrong spot for help. Edit: Project64 now works when changing the video plugin. Maybe if I can find a setting for BizHawk that can fix it.

Turning the display to OpenGL fixed it.
