I'm currently TASing FF7, and on Disc 2 at the first FMV, the game loads the wrong one but from the correct disc. My issue is I don't know if it's the correct behaviour due to something I've done earlier or if it's a bug from Bizhawk. I know the ROM is not faulty, it has the right CRC32 and MD5 from redump. So what should I do and what can I check ? EDIT : Using Bizhawk 2.3

If I remember correctly, FFVII is the same on each disc just with differing fmv. Perhaps whilst TASing the disc isn't swapped properly after a load state?

Yeah, but that's the problem, the FMV it loads is also from Disc 2, so it did not read from Disc 1 or 3 by mistake

Is it a cutscene from gold saucer? I remember this happened to me during one of my test runs because I swapped the disc too early.

Hmmm. If I save and load the game, the correct FMV plays. I'm gonna try to wait a few frames between removing Disc 1 and insering Disc 2 instead of doing it on the earliest frame. EDIT : Yeah ok. That was it. Same issue as FF9. If you Disc Swap too early, the emulator reads from Disc 2, but the address that is supposed to register the change (0x9A384) isn't updated, which messes up everything. Topic can be closed.
