breakthru is a racing action game by data east for the nes. it moves very fast, and has 5 levels. your car can not only shoot but also jump, which comes in handy for avoiding obstacles.
in making the movie, i had to play the game at an almost unplayably slow framerate in order to get through it at max car speed. most of the game is played at 12% frames, so the movie; although short, took hours to finish. shots are only fired when needed, and no shots are missed.

Bisqwit: Rejecting this submission because of the votes and feedback it has motivated in those who have watched it.

This was one of my favorite games as a kid even though I remember it being very very frustrating. That jumping car was just too cool. Anyway, I voted no. It was absolutely boring. You could've saved a lot of time by killing stuff rather than jumping over them. There doesn't appear to be any frames lost for shooting, but you slow down quite a bit after every jump. You just didn't beat it as fast as possible. Next time, go for as many kills as you can while still maintaining top speed. I'm positive a timeattack of this game can be entertaining.

I was about to make a video of this, yet, I sometimes believe that the game is too boring to watch, but I'll try it, now, anyway. I did enjoy the video and all of your dodging, as it makes the video look cool, in a way. As for me, for the video that I'm going to make of it (unless, someone beats me to it) is an aim for 100% kills, or close to it, while going at full speed. That's either going to be just as impressive, more impressive, or just as boring. We shall see... I'd used to play this game as a kid, and have beaten it for real, many times. I have always thought that the ending had sucked. So, why did I keep playing and beating it? It's a fun game to play. I can't play it anymore for real, since I don't have NES, but this is close enough. I'm going to make my video now, so check back in a few hours, since that's probably how long it'll take to make.
