Added support for DIP switches!

By the way, will it be possible to change the NeoGeo Bios like in mame? The default European one isn't good because some games are censored (example: Metal Slug having white blood). I know it's possible to change it if you mess around with dipswitches, but other Bioses are already uncensored by default (plus allowing the games to be played in different languages).
Implemented!

Ignore all my reports up to this point. They were tested on wine linux and I didn't realize that was the issue.

Alpine racer 1 and 2 freeze emulator at difficulty selection screen. I somehow got mame to work under wine so I'm not sure if that same thing happens on native windows. But thats what I have so far.

Crash report: Crashes on Capcom Play System 3 games using TAStudio if you scroll through unemulated frames which have inputs in them. Games that use the CPS-3 board are Jojo's (jojo, jojoban) and the Street Fighter 3 series (sfiii1, sfiii2, sfiii3.)

From Discord:
Movie > Play Movie always reports 60fps inputs despite for example KonamiGX games (Gokujou Parodius) running at 59.186fps by design. This causes input desyncs at random sections when playing the .bk2 file via that method.

Issue 1: Input desync if File > Movie > Play Movie is used, shouldn't report 60fps all the time -- https://anonfiles.com/F3ncA1Fauf/Fantastic_Journey_ver_EAA-2_bk2 Issue 2: Audio gets desynced after dumping the avi file, this only happens on games that depend on a CHD file to be loaded (mostly PSX-based systems) -- https://anonfiles.com/jcoeA6F5u9/Night_Raid_V203J_20010226_17_00_bk2

More bugs found: Savestates don't work at all on Cave CV1000 games. Load the state and it'll freeze at the frame where the savestate was made, without crashing the emulator. And sometimes loading a state can crash. I guess someone reported this already.

Do savestates work well with this game in original MAME?

Savestates are functional for these games in original MAME. I tested several games for the CAVE CV1000B system (e.g. Deathsmiles) and several games for the CAVE CV1000D system (e.g. DoDonPachi DaiFukkatsu).

Seems this also happens with PSX-based games that don't require a CHD (Capcom ZN1/ZN2 games for example). Had to mux the captured A/V with framerate set to 59.83fps (which is what the Mednafen PSX core uses for NTSC stuff) to 'temporarily' fix it.

Yet another issue which luckily only happens with a few games: When you go into Service mode and exit from it, the emulator closes itself. Cannot play RayStorm nor Psychic Force because of this, since it always boots into Service mode (MAME does this too but at least it reloads the game without closing).

MAMEHawk 2.6.2 Open Metal Slug 2, Metal Slug 3 ROM, the program will crash and freeze! Metal Slug 2, Metal Slug 3 ROM use FB Alpha Shuffle 2.4.0 to open, you can play normally!

Another issue: Shikigami no Shiro (Taito G-NET machine which is PS1-based) suffers from input desyncs especially when there are lots of bullets on the screen. A waterbox solution would be ideal for situations like this.

Rotation is not supported, and isn't planned.

Right click on desktop > NVIDIA Control Panel > Display > Rotate Display. You're welcome. Note that you need to have a NVIDIA GPU and NVIDIA drivers installed. Edit: Spike told me there is an alternative: Right click on background > Screen Resolution Hopefully that orientation exists. Edit 2: On systems other than Windows 7, it's named "Display Settings".

Still no stearing and/or light gun support?

Asking the same thing every month won't help me find time on this. I make a post whenever there's something new to test. If I don't make a post, there's nothing new to test. Not even "stearing and/or light gun support".

Great work! I am looking forward to use MAMEHawk instead of my stand alone editor. I already did nearly 100 videos of TAS of old arcade games, look for my name on YT. I have tested a few games that all work well but here are some issues I encountered: -Galaga: the star background scroll too fast -Namco Classic Collection Vol.1 (ncv1.zip) crash when I load the project file (.tasproj) in TasEditor. The error is "Savestate buffer size mismatch!"

I'm looking into analog input and it's inconsistently implemented in mame lua. How do you normally play games with analog controls? I'm trying Time Crisis, and mouse X/Y are mapped for analog, but I can't move the crosshair other than with arrows which is slow and not analog.

Mouse input normally controls the crosshair in this situation. Can you confirm whether mouse input is enabled in MAME.INI in the "CORE INPUT OPTIONS" group?

Yeah I watched a video and indeed mouse was disabled in advanced options as well as in input config. I got it to work.
