Link to video I don't know if this is the best place for the clip. Seems far away, but clipping anywhere else is ridiculous and I couldn't do it.

I just glanced over the route on page 11 again. Do we need power bracelets? I think it should be possible to L-slide clip into Stone Watcher and Savage Labyrinth. Earth temple should be unloadable...

We need them for Jalhalla atleast. I think StoneWatcher needs them to not get crushed. So we are getting them.

Did anybody ever actually test if you need them for Jalhalla? StoneWatcher... well would be nice to get that confirmed as well.

Stone Watcher, you do get smashed, confirmed. Jalhalla also confirmed.

Latest issue as brought up by Abahbob: You need Deku Leaf to password skip. You need a sword and bombs to zombie hover up to the Deku Leaf. You need a grapple otherwise. We need leaf in DRC. You can take fall damage in a very limited area in Forest Haven by falling from the higher plants that shoot you up, or from falling off the tree halfway up. Unfortunately this is very far from where you need to be to start a successful zombie hover that can reach the leaf. I tried hovering against plant stems and the deku tree itself to minimize horizontal movement, but I always slipped off after 5 or 10 seconds as the surface started becoming less perpendicular to me. We either need a way to kill Link arbitrarily, a better way to perform the zombie hover from fall damage, or a password skip without the Deku Leaf. You can unload to get under the Earth Temple entrance and be swimming in the water, however, you have no way to get up vertically to the entrance. EDIT: Abahbob says you can make the island unload while you're on it. I've never messed with this.

Wow that was fast confirmation. ;) It's just that I heard that you don't need them for Jalhalla at least in the J version. Would make sense. If I was a programmer I wouldn't check for bracelets at there, since you have to have them to get that far, usually. Also stone watcher might not get you crushed if you clip just right...

Can't you just unload the stone, like the logs blocking the entrance to the fairy island?

Well, it may be possible with getting it to unload it while you are under it moving fast, then leafing in, but there would be no point. I also believe it crashes if you don't destroy the headstone. When you beat the temple I mean.

You can use text door storage to walk through the rock, remember? But with Jalhalla, we can't skip Bracelets in low%.

Still, text storage requires forest water, and I don't think we want to go down that road.

Possible triforce shard locations. http://i.imgur.com/YwfL4.png The game will always use the 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th for all the islands. So by knowing only one's location, you can know all of the shards' locations. It is probably determined when you start the file, but because it's so hard to test, we want to look at the memory. Sadly, I can't make Dolphin's debug mode to load up any games (gives me an invalid callstack error)

Updated map with numbers and boat spawn locations: http://i.imgur.com/nvokJ.png Two notes: 1: Superswim drowning does not work with Seven Star Isles. You'll have to drown at and sail from Overlook Island most likely. (Could also do Crescent Moon or Dragon Roost, but these seem slightly slower.) 2: Superswim drowning does not seem to work with Gale Isle before Wind Temple. It may or may not work after. The solution here is to go inside the loading zone and walk out and the boat will spawn by you. (Unfortunately we need the hookshot to get the chart to get the shard here.) Superswim drowning seems to work with all other cases necessary for the run. Other note: You can enter and exit Jabun's area in the lower left corner of outset. At a glance triforce chart set 3 looks really good. EDIT: In response to below. The triforce shard does not seem to be collectable until you decipher and open the chart.

Does the game require you to have a Triforce Chart and then translate it in order to get the triforce piece, or can you just pick it out of the sea with the power of TAS tools?

As far as everyone tested, you have to get the triforce chart (translated) in order to get the shard. But I will test around in the next few days (which includes checking exactly all 4 spots for an island, escaping the flight platform (which has weird effects) and then trying shards early, and moving the 4 spots overwater through hacking)

That's some expansive testing, nice :)

Hmm since they are in a set, maybe only deciphering one chart might unlock all the pieces? A longshot, but should be worth testing. :)

No, you need the translated chart for each.

Just wanting to say, I deleted the water in the ocean and tried opening up the chests underwater. The chests don't exist underwater. They should be thought of as areas that if you use grapple in KoRL, you get a chest. I tried opening triforce chests, random chests, and chart chests. None were there. I know I was in the right spot because the light rings appeared on the bottom.

That's exactly how I would have assumed they'd work; why bother having the chest be at the bottom of the ocean when the only time you see it is after the grappling hook pulls it up out of the water? This way there's no need to bother with connecting the hook to the top of the chest or anything like that.

I figured, but some people thought it might be there.
