Explanation of the Layer System is useful to understand the pastebin. I found another video with the Early Master Sword & the Early Triforce, which collects all Triforce pieces and triggers the Mighty Darknuts encounter (getTriforcePiecesCount() == 8) but the game is still locked after that. It seems like you have to trigger Hyrule 1 and take the master sword the legit way.

So that seems to confirm what I thought. The cutscene won't trigger since the check for 8 pieces is before the hyrule 2 check and "return" actually ends the function. What might be the problem with the barrier in that video is that I think that's not the fully charged MS and you probably need that to break the barrier. Could be wrong, though. I doubt this is possible, or somebody else would have thought about it before, but I was thinking: Get down there with triforce + EMS, go back up and charge the MS, come back down with triforce warp, profit. Probably some flag blocking that somewhere...

I don't know what Abahbob has been waiting for, but based what thread this is posted in... no. This lets you connect GBA ROMs, not actual GBAs. It's pretty much useless for TASing unless you for some reason want to TAS GBA games using Datel's GBA emulator (which you don't, because the emulators that run on PCs are better).

This is an interesting change of pace. Higan was basically discontinued, and the GBA core was very, very immature/young. So, now another dev has taken over in trying to improve Dolphin and VBA. This should work 100% perfect for Wind Waker's tingle tuner under two conditions. 1: Wind Waker remains full speed. 2: VBA Runs full speed. This is terrific news for Abahbob! Although the issue of running in full speed is not exactly how we tas :( But there is a huge step in the right direction! Skid_au rescues us again <3

Well, once the Pull Request is up and people can actually see the code; maybe someone can make a version for TASing. I more or less posted this to get some more testing in from people who would be pushing it much harder than I would as a casual player.

Yo, I am up to the part in the route where Chill with Zephos is needed. Can't get it right though, does anyone have any clue of how to pull it off consistently? Also, if GBA Link / Tuner can be TASed later on in the future, I'll be interested in actually restarting too(millionth time, but meh).

MUGG: In order to use that code, use a real Action Replay disc, and enable the code through that. Sorry, Dolphin's Action Replay HLE isn't very good. Explanation: Link to video The Action Replay part is at the end. Basically... we don't know exactly what is wrong (if we did, it'd be fixed) but most button codes work strangely at best. I don't know if it's an issue with the value being different, or the way we poll inputs being wrong. Edit: Did some more testing for the hell of it. Very likely not to be input problems, so I have no idea where Dolphin is going wrong.

That was an awesome watch! :D I got to watch the last hour on stream and it was super entertaining. It is a real shame it can't be submitted here but it's still great either way and I hope someone finishes a true TAS of this one day.

Couldn't this actually be publishable? Iirc Perfect Dark was close to being accepted, but it was rejected since it relied on using the TASer's savestates. In this case the savestates can be replicated by anyone

Well guys, the good news is I believe endrift (a coder) will take a look at tingle tuner tasing ability. Let's hear more from her. I took the liberty and talked with the devs regarding the lack of proper tingle tuner tasing and like I said I think I managed to spark geniune interest. Because if anything, we all really want whoever tas this game has the best possible tools.
