am I the only one who believes tunerless is a more approximate experience most players had with this game and we shouldn't wait for a emulator that runs the gba game too?i understand it's the true any% in the sense that anything goes and the tuner makes it faster(just like a japanese version) but maybe the site should keep a tunerless run(if it's clear that nobody is resolving the gba situation on dolphin). BTW,great job on the TAS.
TAS i'm interested: megaman series: mmbn1 all chips, mmx3 any% psx glitched fighting games with speed goals in general

Note that this TAS is not submittable because it uses savestates to fix desyncs, so don't ask him to :)
Can we at least ask him if he can provide the input file without submitting anyway?

I thought the entire area behind the barrier was supposed to be an infinite knock back area.

I think it pulls the wind waker out at the same frame as the knockback should occur to cancel it, and uses the deku leaf to get past the solid non-knockback wall... though how it does that I'm not sure.

reading through the comments makes it sound like OP has left out some things he should have said in his first post. (Chest Storage Cheat possibly is what I am referring to)

PSA: This Save State is cheated and contains a NOP (No Operation) instead of the function call that does the precise collision calculation. This is basically the same as Chest Storage (except that Chest Storage causes a BNE Jump from 800a38dc to 800a38ec), but it's cheated in by modifying the Assembly. Most likely from modifying wiiztec's Cheat Code that allows you to walk through walls. Image of the Cheated Instructions: http://puu.sh/kjkwn.png

I've been meaning to ask how wall collision checks work in this game. Is it that Link has multiple points inside him that aren't allowed through walls? Are all except for one point disabled while a chest is opened?

Long story short, I dun goofed. In my previous testing I activated an AR code that made my hit box smaller. Even after turning it off, it still stays active in the game (I wasn't aware of this). Something to do with changing the assembly code and physics engine, idk, it's a little over my head. Anyway, once testing with a clean save (nothing but moon jump activated) it didn't seem to work. The post is removed, I deleted the vids, and am getting a lot of heat from people thinking I've made some elaborate ruse. I made a mistake, sorry

Chest storage seems to reduce Link's collision area to 1 point. I'm asking what it is like when he is normal... is it several points? Or a cube? If it is just a few points, maybe they can be moved through the seam of a wall one after the other.

Just beautiful, that's all I can say.
Current project: Gex 3 any% Paused: Gex 64 any% There are no N64 emulators. Just SM64 emulators with hacky support for all the other games.

The Tingle Tuner allows you to pay rupees for temporary abilities such as using a bomb, recieving health, or walking on air (Ocarina of Time hoverboots-style). The TASer used momentum exploits paired with the Tingle Tuner's air-walk ability to hover for long distances.

Wow this is fascinating stuff! Seems like it might not come to anything but any step in the right direction is a good thing. I hope this is the start of finding a workable solution.

It is now possible to skip Tower of the Gods by causing it to fail to load, by segmenting the actor memory in such a way that no contiguous segment is 500kb. In-depth explanation here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDHvmmkd3-Y
