Um... I think whoever actually does this TAS better make sure that they can manipulate which game pattern is determine after selecting "new game." Otherwise anyone playing back has a chance to get severely desynced if the movie file was pattern 2 and the emulator playback ends up with pattern 4.

I'm not familiar with the game, but as long as the "game pattern" depends on the starting state of the game there should be no problem. The movie starts from a known state (freshly-initialized "blank" Playstation) and everything follows deterministically from there. Or does the pattern depend on some poorly-emulated aspect of the hardware or something?

Game patterns are chosen at random when you choose a difficulty after starting a new game. It's what makes the game worth playing a new game to get all the boss voices (4 patterns x 3 difficulties = 12 different sequences). BTW, you can fight pallet swaps of all the bosses in your voice collection Seraphic Gate), but I've noticed that most of these alternate bosses only have the grand magic sample. Dark Valkyrie (Hirst) and Loki Shade do have their death screams.

Ah, misunderstood. I thought you were saying "There's concern that the game could desync", but you're actually saying "make certain you get the right path through the game, which is determined when you start". There should be no risk of desyncs, since the playback will always give the same RNG state at the time a new game is started.

need someone know this game can help me find a way can access to debug mode/room then I can beat game soon like as FF7 did it. I know standing near it. My way is while game saving, make soft reset. If correct frame (not sure), it'll create a save file corruption. After load game, the game will show standing in a unknow stage. hmmm tried many ways but still didn't find any better. I think should try this way when world map availbe.
