Here's a hilarious page about this very great story (and other game intros): http://www.seanbaby.com/nes/intro.htm But the Ninja Gaiden page is the best on that site: http://www.seanbaby.com/nes/ninjagai.htm "There used to be some myth that came out in the eighties about ninjas being sneaky or something. Wrong. That is Western propaganda spread by shitty American martial arts movies. A true ninja just runs around on the streets in broad daylight and makes dogs explode with their sword." EDIT: Editing my post, although I'm not sure why.

(Okay, let's not get too off-topic, here. You might want to edit your post too, jxq.) So, how about tough-guy supporting characters? For example, I always thought Falco, from Star Fox, was cool because of his sort of laid back, aggressive attitude. That, and the guy they found for Star Fox 64 did a very good job of handling the lines given him... ...and one of my many gripes against Star Fox: Assault, is the job they did with that character--having an accent isn't enough if you neuter the lines and make it sound like you're just reading from a script! In my opinion, this is like having Greedo shoot first. Repeatedly. And then cutting to the next scene so you can't see what happens. ...sorry, sorry. I'll calm down.

That scene was cool in the original version of Star Wars. There's just this explosion that fills the screen all of a sudden, and for a second, you don't know who just got shot.

Needle Man:HINTS ON BEATING HIM: The trick to beating Needle Man is to remember you're playing. The first time I got to him, I laughed so hard at his hat that I forgot I was controlling Mega Man's destiny. After five similar occurances, I just tried to think sad thoughts to keep from laughing. "They... cancelled... Misfits of Science..." This worked, and I found out the Needle Man is about as tough as a 10 year old Star Trek nerd
this was so funny:-)
