First off, let me apologize for making my first post a request for a game, I know it's tactless, but I'm really not sure of any other way I could ask at the moment. The game I'm hoping to see a speedrun of is the Genesis version of Turrican. I know Super Turrican has been done for the NES, but they are quite different games overall. I'm just asking about this game because I remember that it was the hardest game I had from my childhood, and seeing it beaten (even past level two) would be really amazing for me. This game is so difficult for a few reasons. -First off if you get hit by an enemy there's no knockback, so you just keep taking damamge every frame, so they need to be taken care of right away. -Second, the level layout can leave you trapped at some points, so you have to be careful what paths you take. I'd do the run myself, but I doubt I could do as well as many of the people on this board. I bow to you all, for your patience, time, and effort in making these amazing movies, and taking the time to read this post.

Wow, very nice, thank you! I had totally forgotten about this post a while ago, heh. With this video perhaps there might be a bit of interest in making a superplay of this game, and once and for all it will be truly beaten. :P

Totally offtopic, but this is some awesome gravedigging; with the original post being answered 2.5 years later — and still being a useful answer at that. :)

Well, I think I had subscribed to the post those years ago. Was quite surprised when I saw that video. Well, surprised and baffled that it was played as well as it was.

I saw another forum where a post went unanswered for 5 years, and it had nothing to do with TASing but was NSFW.

Thanks :) But it was not soo difficult `cause I´ve played the c64 version from that game very often so I know most of the secret passages to run thru the fastest way thru the levels. For the MegaDrive/Genesis version I use a tool assisted emulator so I made this longplay in a half day. :)
