My Glitchless run is 23:30. It can be better. If anyone would actually want to see this, let me know, can i can make it better. If not, then i dont want to waste my time. So.. does anyone want to see a glitchless run published? let me knooowwwwwww. dont leave me wondering ;)

Yeah, I would like to see a glitchless run a lot. I guess that it can be considered a different tier run than Bisqwit's version. I'm not sure what other people think about that, though. Can you put up your current version so I can watch it? :) On a different note, it's pretty cool to know that my glitch-abusing speedrun is faster than Vatchern's tool-assisted glitchless run.

I'm not interested in a glitchless TA speedrun. It would essentially be a more precisely played speedrun, and that wouldn't be that interesting to me.

Vatchern, I watched your glitchless run, and one word came to mine, uninteresting. Okay, a little harsh. But especially since its tool assisted, it doesn't seem too incredible. Also, some people might consider not being damaged while the screen is scrolling a glitch, in which case this run isn't truly glithless. Again, sorry for the harshness, but it's some feedback.

When the screen is scrolling, all action everywhere is stopped while rockman is shifted down. That isn't a glitch i dont think.

I think that your glitchless run is sloppy. There are unnecessary slowdowns and you didn't manipulate luck where you could. I'm sure that run could be brought back with a minute or so. EDIT: it also seems that you didn't avoid bonus points while you could have. Those things only slow you down at the end. EDIT: and you didn't change your weapon on a ladder when you could have, which saves time and isn't (really) a glitch.

I know it is sloppy Omega.. it was a test to see if anyone would want to see a run of it. I did make a New one, I have Gutsman level done 60 frames quicker. but.. i doubt if i can get enough viewers to be entertained by it, so i'll just leave it be.

Not sure if this has been brought up but I recently played this game and did something strange. When I was climbing up on a ladder I accidentally pressed the release button but instantly pressed all BUTTONS to remain on the ladder, but what happened was that I could in that moment jump upwards on the ladder! Don't know how I can explain better but I hope you understand. Edit: If this is possible, then perhaps you can jump upwards until you've reached the surface instead of climbing the ladder.

Sounds incredible. How do you mean all buttons? How about recording a short demo video with how this works? Grabbing the very bottom of a ladder which does not reach down to the ground can make you move up about one block in a glitchy way. But it has nothing to do with pressing the buttons, except for maybe up.

If the trick AngerFirst described indeed works not only in the bottom of the ladder as shown in this animation, it will be a huge timesaver in the tool-assisted movie. Can someone confirm it?

Im very very sorry but I cannot demonstrate what I did because that "accident" I did was pure mind-blowing luck and I don't know how I can do it again. Like I said, I pressed all the buttons including up-left-right-down buttons (because I got paniced that moment :) ) And this happened while I was in the middle on the ladder in ElecMan level + I played this game on my Megaman anniversary game (GameCube), but I hope this does not affect the possibility to do it on a emu. I just know it should work!! Edit: Truncated, what I meant by pressing all the buttons (besides the left-right-down-up buttons) is the shooting button and jumping button.

Ahh.. Thats on my NES Controller ;). It also has Autofire :D its a nice controller. Tho, i dont use it for my Megaman speedruns due to i think its cheating.. and probably going against rules somewhere on TG.

That's how I discovered that getting hit while picking up a null health or ammo refill in Rockman 2 cancels out the hit animation. :p

vatchern, i thought your run was completely unassisted, realtime, etc etc, which makes it a little less impressive, but still awesome regardless. has anyone tried a COMPLETELY legit run, with 100% speed and no glitches (no tools whatsoever)? i am attempting this right now and it is frustrating as hell... could probably finish in about 50 min if i really tried, but then again i suck at this game (IMHO). of course you can never be as good as you want to be ;)

yeah, i just watched that. it is nowhere near a true speed run though, as impressive as it is. he stops several times and even backtracks to avoid getting hit, which obviously doesnt produce the fastest time. im looking for something such as the MM2 video on SDA, only with MM. to my knowledge this has not been done... perhaps i can be the first? i better start practicing...
