Darkman425: It's gotta be serious if you're throwing that many hands to reach the ending, right?
Darkman425: Quite unfortunately I do kind of have to take this one a bit seriously. Can't believe Beat Takeshi would do this to me.
A small bit first: I don't think this needs the "pacifist" descriptor as the warpless publication is also pacifist in the final room with the treasure. Funny how that works out.
So the tricky thing about this is that this does use a developer intended warp to the final room of the game but it's slower than the
publication that doesn't use any warps, intentional or not. I'm talking over double the time in this case. It's that weird case where something that could be considered a "warps" run is somehow objectively lower than a "warpless" run. As weird as that whole thing is I don't consider that to be the big influence of my decision.
What it comes down to is the nature of the warp, really. To me this warp feels similar to using a convoluted level select code to jump to the final area which to me doesn't fit either of the Standard or Alternate categories. I'll say that this fits perfectly in the Playground category, although I'm fine with any other judges in the future who wish to look this one over for themselves if they see it differently enough to rejudge it.
