I don't see the point of doing this ... it's just a robot controlling a dead frog ... You would have the same result by putting a robot in front of a webcam and allowing the users on Internet to control that robot ... That is so useless ...

Since the name was "Experiments in galvanism", I assumed that there was no robotic limbs involved and that the dead frog muscles were controlled by electric currents. Which would likely be a reference for how bioelectricity was discovered. But I admit to not reading the text at all, and in the pictures it does indeed look like some sort of mechanics are involved.
