Pretty good actually. Though I am kind of oblivious about skipping the goron mask, it would probably waste time to get it, but somehow that time could be made up for using the goron mask to go faster in certain areas. But thats just me.

That word! I do not think it means what you think it means!

You can't be "kind of" oblivious to something.

So what you're saying is you didn't know that you could skip the goron mask? I think the word you're looking for is skeptical.

His use of the word seemed to indicate that he meant "doubtful," but I think he intended to say "uncertain." "Oblivious" usually has a derogatory connotation, one would not typically use it to describe themselves.

Snowhead Temple Boss Key Skip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fYYG_WmT860 it's way harder to get OoB with ISG activated than it maybe looks like ;) requieres probably too many explosives for any% and game time, but maybe we can use it in 100%, if we're allowed to skip the Boss Key. It's not really clear, wheter we have to get big key, compass and map or not ;) nice route petrie :) what does double time mean and are you sure, that we would reach the ranch at the right time?

one week ago there was no boss key skip for MM, now I've discovered one for every temple! great bay temple boss key skip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_VZnC1JqCc I'm not very fimilar with the great bay temple, so I can't say if we can skip some switches etc. with. should be faster than getting the key for sure, because it doesn't requier that much explosives, so why not use it? I used 15 bombchus and 5 bombs and did it non-tas. a tas should be able to get the number of explosives down to 15 or something, because my Bombchu Hovers to get OoB weren't the best

Great discoveries MrGrunz. If we can skip all boss keys, does that warrant a new category? Because I fear we would skip a lot areas. Or maybe a "skips-all-boss-keys" run should be considered as an any% whilst a 100% run could get all the boss keys.

Sucks that GBT boss key is really simple and quick to get. It might not save any time or the time saved might as a result might not be worth the extra explosive load :(

I think that's what the low% category is for. The only boss key skip which seems useful in a any% run is the one in Great Bay.

GBT boss key skip is almost certainly not worth it. I seriously think the time spent hovering alone loses time, let alone buying more explosives. The boss key is just right on your path. And TBH, the boss key skips really don't add many skipped areas. We already skip the GBT mini-boss, STT's skip is wholly impractical, and Snowhead is already explosive-heavy, leaving Woodfall as the only one that might be useful. And all it does is skip 1 mini-boss. Oh, and it even wouldn't be useful in 100%, as we have to beat Gekko for the frog.

my idea was actually to try skipping all switches, but if i'm right, we need to activate the red switches to get to the room, where the boss door is, so we have to still activate all of them we should try to figure out a way to skip all thosw switches

We'll need to get OoB in a place sufficiently close to the boss door, but accessible with the normal current. I think the room with the boss door is directly below the main control room. If so, the boss door should be to the left (assuming you enter from the temple entrance and not the tall water room).

I was only able to get OoB with the green pipe yet. unfortunately, those ones are on the other side of the place, where the boss room is :( another way would be to preload the main room (I found a nice way to do it) and then go to the room in front of the boss room and do the boss key skip. would be TAS only, because everything is dark, when the area is preloaded

Finally, it has been done! Now we can skip every switch of the Great Bay Temple :D Expect video soon ;) to get to the place, where we get OoB + for the boss key skip I needed about 38 explosives and I did it non-tas, so this should be definately useful :) edit: the video had no sound :/ here's the new one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tzr7LpBdtJY

That was great. Good job. I think you should take a look at several other places to see if you can skip more things. I'd rather you found them now, before I start working on my run again. ;)

hmm, I've discovered a boss key skip for every temple: stone tower requieres way too much explosives (60). snowhead boss key skip requieres only 18 explosives, but remember all the explosives we need to climb the temple. woodfall boss key skip skips the gecko fight and needs only 23 explosives. petrie made a new route with wrong warp to snowhead and goron mask skip already! Have you seen it yet?

Funny how this trick ended up being found. I remember mentioning to Mukki that there was a way to go OoB in the main room, but couldn't dig up the relevent video. Good job Grunz EDIT: So how much time does that trick save?

Great job Grunz with all the recent findings. How much time overall would the new route save?

OK guys, I made a test TAS of the new GBT route. I got it down to 34 explosives for the boss key skip, plus 4 for hovering over the gap in the control room, for a total of 38. I'll upload a video soon, and I'll try to get frame comparisons to Mukki's run done quickly. Initial estimates tell me that we may be looking at a time saving of 2 minutes here. Oh, and it turns out that, with that one bombchu saving method where you switch to the Zora Mask, you can break the lock by targetting a bombchu that you dropped to do a hover with. The timing is very precise, though, so it's probably not good for unassisted. EDIT: here's the frame data Main dungeon. Timing begins after entering the control room and ends upon the fadeout while entering the boss room. Mukki - 14570 frames (4:03) New - 8057 frames (2:14) Difference - 6513 frames (1:49) Also, I think I improved on his boss fight. Mukki - 2043 frames (:34) New - 1566 frames (:26) Difference - 477 frames (:08) I think we could go sub-2:00 with the run. EDIT2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E2PyzRDoSxk
