Also, Nach had some style-related wishes for your next SMB2 timeattack. I hope he'll post them. I hope you don't use so much left-right-left-right wobbling this time. It doesn't really look cool - especially if done all the time.

Well it was me first who think this idea and it's pretty cool doing this when waiting in the game.Otherwise the character must stay in place which is pretty :O to watch.

It was cool the first time I saw it, but then it became disturbing. Especially in the Castlevania 3 movie I would have hoped that the character would stay still instead of looking so nervous. Turning left and right all the time doesn't look very cool. Would you think it's fun to do that, if you were the character? I think it's retarded if you get kicks from it every time the character does that. Calm can also be cool, did you know :) Nervous isn't cool.

Well it seems opinion differ again but I'm feeling sorry for the hero :P.Or maybe you took game too seriously anyway I don't mind if people like to see the character shaking or not.Personnally I think it's cool to watch and in my video when I have the chance to do this I'll do this.

Glad I'm not the only one who thought the wild spinning in CV3 was overkill. I like the new speed record in SMB2, but some sections weren't as polished as sleepz did it. Jumping over many enemies (with the glitch) is nice, but it doesn't look as good as weaving through the enemies. When you throw the guy you're holding with toad away, make it look good. In 4-1 by the rocket, throw him so he falls off the screen. Close calls look good too, I love how sleepz jumped off a guy that was falling off the screen in the first section of 4-1. Run extra close to as many enemies as you can. When you have to dig through sand to get the key, dig in such a way that the enemies fall right on top of you. Notice what sleepz did as he picked up the key 6-1. The mushroom juggling trick against ostro/birdo looks really good. When you run to the exit in 7-1, jump ducking there looks excellent. Okay, I think that's it for now :)

By the pendalum part in CV3, the whole screen shakes, gave me a bit of a headache watching that. Headache != Cool You're entitled to your opinion though, guess some people like to see heroes on crack.

Even after redoing the fortress it's still 3 frames slower than Genisto's world 1. I'm ready to send it to Phil and Deviance, so I just need you're email addresses. Maybe one of you will find a way to improve something. Edit: I just sent the fmv to Phil. Now I need Deviance's email address. Edit 2: I just sent the fmv to Deviance.

Exactly what I thought the whole time I watched the movie. I wanted to just close my eyes because it was making me sick. I was just hoping that he would jump instead of moving back and forth (one time he did). Phil, If you make an improvement on AD then you should remove that. It's very annoying to watch.....

I agree that it's disturbing and annoying. I would certainly prefer if the character was honestly standing still when it has to wait than do that annoying flickering.

I first saw that left-right shaking on smb2 and thought is there some kind of bug or error happened in the encoding process :) I didn't understand the meaning at all and didn't know it was meant to look cool. To me it looked like retarded :P

Regarding left/right shaking: I most prefer having the character appear to "dance" to the music instead of rapid left/right spasming. Examples of "dancing" can be found throughout the life force video available on another site (sorry, I don't recall which) and once in the Akumajou Densetsu (Castlevania 3) video on this site, at the 26:16 mark (notice that the left/right movements roughly correspond with the rhythm of the music, unlike most of the left/right movements in this video).

I tried "dancing" in my latest SMB2 run (already obsoleted) in the quicksand of the 6-3 level. But due to the slow motion and lag in sound I missed the rhythm :)

I think it looks cooler if you move as little as possible while you're waiting instead of quickly pressing left and right, unless quickly pressing left and right saves time in some way, but I don't think it does.
