Yeah, FF Tactics would be interesting too. It seems that Nitsuja was going to start one run. I could try too, if I weren't already busy enough...

Oh yeah, this thread. New on my wish list is: River City Random (EX) The game has a "crazy" difficulty and a "speed" option to turn up a bit. Hidden attacks were added to the normal controls so there should be more variety. Slam dunking construction cones is surprisingly effective. Jumping through the air is faster, there should be more acrobatics. No left+right glitches, apparently, and Moose can't be skipped, but he can be tricked into diving into a pit. Overall, a run of it would be significantly different from the original, more than different enough to warrant being done, and the result would be quite fast-paced.

Hm, seems like DK: King of Swing hasn't been suggested yet. It's a bit slow moving but I think it'll make for a good TAS anyway due to the physics and the going bananas mode (collect 20 bananas, push A and become faster andinvincible)

A Metal Slug Advance run would be cool. I think you also can try Kirby & the Amazing Mirror.

Hajime no Ippo: The Fighting would make a great TAS. Its slightly similar to Punch-out except a lot less arcadey. The graphics are excellent and there are a wider variety of punches. Also the game can be beaten in under 10 minutes, so it won't drag on for too long

You can add Drill Dozer and Spirits and Spells to the list too. I suggest you look at the Drill Dozer Thread to see the tricks I've discovered, and watch Zurreco's Work in Progress. http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=5389

I'm still waiting for Cardboard (or anyone else, I suppose) to finish a run of Boktai. I even made a complete walkthrough video for it so that people could use it as a "do this, but optimise it" reference. Alas, no go... Also, if someone has the balls to try it, Scurge would be cool to watch. It's like isometric Metroid Fusion meets Doom.

I thought this couldn't be done due to a problem with the VBA BIOS or something? GSGold attempted a completion run a few times, but VBA would always crash in the Desert area where you have to escort Peach.

Did anyone check to see if it works with the real GBA BIOS?

And I'm still waiting for info from you (Zurreco) about your Drill Dozer run. Has it been dropped or what? (didn't intend to sound rude)

I already said I was dropping it since you seemed much more suited to the run. Plus, I'm way behind on the projects I've been working on as it is, on account of my social life and lack of a working PC.

Could I get a save state right before this?

Really? I though there was only this issue but as far as I know it's just an emulator bug from VBA 18. Can anyone confirm this? Also, I hate that sprites flicker on the emulator...

How about "Super Hard" Wario Land 4 TAS. I'd like to see what the content description would say, like: Plays at ABSOLUTELY hardest difficulty.
