I think it would be smartest to use them on-by-one, and not all-in-once, and also in the downhills instead of uphills. Because when u use a nitro, ur speed will slowly decrease again ---> then new nitro, etc, etc. And btw, maybe nitro in both uphills and downhills...

Oh, I hate you guys. Got insomnia and when I saw "Top Gear" I read it as "Top Gun" and now I can't get that instrumental theme from it outta my head. *scowls* Anyway... if I can get the hang of moving the great load about the screen, I may as well try making a Rockman 7 run. Been playing it entirely too often for the last couple days. Dunno why the US version took out a buncha stuff that made the original charming, but meh. Looking forward to both Battletoads runs, though. Saw the 2P NES one earlier. Disturbingly in-synch, it was. >.> z.z

In Top Gear, the first nitro is the best to use in the beginning of the race to avoid long acceleration times. There are also some tricks to get faster times,eg, playing in the 2-players mode and finishing last with the other player to get to start from pole in the next race. You can also use the second player to boost the first player with nitros to get more speed. And to make it more entertaining, there is also the trick to finish the race twice by crashing in the left or right side of the finish line to get more points.

u know that when 1 of the screens is stopped (like if he finished the race) or in pitstop, the other screen gets 30 frames per second? that sucks because all of the time u have to play with 15 fps or so, the game could have an option to disable the other view in 1 player mode so u get 30 fps all the time....

With the rerecording emulator hovering about, I figured we should botch together a list like we did for the Genesis games. c.c In no particular order... Super Mario World 1 & 2 (Speed and/or Complete runs for both?) Rockman 7 Rockman & Forte (Both characters? I'll assume Rock is faster...) All three Rockman X games Super Punchout Stunt Race FX (Maybe it's just me. I never COULD unlock the hardest set of levels. --;) Starfox (I dunno how one would make it interesting, but...) LoZ: A Link to the Past EVO (I tried that once... slow going, it was. x.x;) Kirby Super Deluxe Brainlord (Stupid jumping...) Illusion of Gaia (Too long?) Actraiser 1 & 2 Aero the Acro-Bat 1 & 2 Zero the Kamikaze Squirrell Alien 3 Battletoads in Battlemaniacs Battletoads & Double Dragon Bubsy 1 & 2 (*HISS*) Clock Tower (A weird dude with MA-HAAAASSIVE scissors? The hell?) Darius Twin Demon's Crest Doom Troopers Earthworm Jim 1 & 2 F-Zero (Maybe?) Incredible Crash Dummies (The control horror...) Inspector Gadget (Tons of gadgets to use, if memory serves) All the Joe & Mac games Jurassic Park 1 & 2 (2 sucked. Stupid cheat hits...) Lost Vikings 1 & 2 (Hey, what's with the seemingly maximum number of games being TWO, anyway?) Mechwarrior series (Again, maybe it's just me, since I was never any good) Micro Machines Pac-Man ...2? (All I recall is having a slingshot and not directly controlling Pac-Man) Pocky and Rocky (If they ever fix the problem...) Push-Over (That damned domino game! ><) R-Type 3 (*hisses again*) The Simpsons: Bart's Nightmare Spiderman and the X-men in Arcade's Revenge (Gambit's level! ><) Spiderman and Venom: Maximum Carnage Spiderman and Venom: Seperation Anxiety Cool Spot (Or was it just 'Spot'?) TMNT IV: Turtles in Time The Twisted Tales of Spike McFang (Long, yes. But reeeally fun) Uniracers Virtual Bart Yogi Bear (I can only remember....cake.) Young Merlin (I rented this once and for the life of me never quite got it) And, of COURSE... Zombies Ate My Neighbors. I got stuck in some attic level of ZAMN. No exit. I know I've rescued all the people, unless one's invisible. X.x; Anyway... I didn't stick Super Metroid in there for two reasons. One, I, personally, am tired of watching movies of it and two, because it's already pretty fast. You'd really have to haul ass to beat the current records. And there it is. All the games I thought might make for some interesting runs. I'm sure I'm alone in thinking some of them would (Inspector Gadget) but I threw 'em in there anyways. Thoughts, additions, etc, etc? [Edit: Now that I think about it, didn't ZAMN have a half-assed sequel that no one really loved as much? o.o]

Wow, hard to come up with something not on the list. Final Fight Super SmashTV (aw yeah) Gradius III X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse Castlevania 4 Equinox And I still want to see Super Metroid. I love that game so much. I've tried to be sick of it. I really have. Can't quite do it.

Even if Bubsy isn't a very good game, it would be really funny to see a speedrun of it, since it is so fast. Same with games like Sonic 2 and 3 for Mega Drive (sorry, wrong board)

There is a second Castlevania on SNES...depending on language it's in, it might be called Dracula X or Vampire's Kiss. It is pretty cool.

He probably did what I did: Went to some site with an extensive (alphabetical) list and copy/pasted everything that sounded like a good game to run.

i second king of dragons points run/hitless and SGnG, perhaps armorless? id also like to see ZAMN....that bastard of a game... but i can imagine it'd take quite a while, so many stages. but there were also warps? IIRC... either way, that'd be pretty fun to watch.

I want to see Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt. It should be very interesting because normally the game is very, very hard AND the character runs VERY fast. Normally you would almost never run, unline the Mario games, etc. I predict it could be done in about 15-20 minutes but I'm probably way off.

Gun Force(similar to contra) Plok Run Saber Those would would all be pretty fun, and interesting I think. edit: Kirby's tee shot? heh, that could get pretty competitive, finding the absolute fastest route from level to level.

More or less. The first bit was me going through what I had locally. The second was me going through one of the older rom sites and looking at titles. Ghoul Patrol, the ZAMN sequel, may not be good. It's kinda... generic. X.x;[/quote]

Someone really should attack: Donkey Kong Country 1, 2 & 3 Road Runner's Death Valley Rally Legend of the Mystical Ninja Someone might want to attack: Magic Sword Lagoon (fine, so it's actually a bad game, but I've fond memories :p) Terranigma F-Zero 1 & 2 Uniracers (best unicycle racing game ever!) Also, I'd personally like to see, but doubt many others would have the endurance to watch or do: Strategy games! Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Ogre Battle, Bahamut Lagoon, etc. RPGs! FFs, DW/Qs, Lufia 1&2, Tales of Phantasia, etc.

I absolutely totally reccomend Umihara Kawase. You don't even need rerecord to make a rerecorded video because it automatically records play. If Illusion of Gaia, then wy not the whole series? SoulBlazer, IoG, and Terranigma. If Legend fo the Mystical Ninja, why not the whole series? Ganbare! Goemon 1-4. Kendo Rage is also fun. I don't know how well of an attack one could make on Ogre Battle...
someone is out there who will like you. take off your mask so they can find you faster. I support the new Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun.

I've posted this in another thread, but I'll say it again: The two "traditional" RPGs that I can see being of realistic length are Mario RPG and Mystic Quest (aka. Final Fantasy USA). Even then, I imagine we'd have to split them up into multiple parts ala some of the SDA videos. And isn't there already a speedrun video of Zombies Ate My Neighbors out there somewhere? I recall talking to a friend who said he found it from Suprnova, but when I looked there I couldn't find anything. BTW, he also mentioned a NES Strider glitched run (some sort of warp from the second level to the last one), which he got from the same site, but I couldn't find that either... -Josh
but then you take my 75 perchance chance of winning, if we was to go one-on-one, and then add 66 and two-thirds ch...percents...i got a 141 and two-thirds chance of winning at sacrifice
