NESticle was the world's first really awesome NES emulator. It was exceptionally good for its time, but when the source code got leaked, the author quit working on it, and nowadays it looks like crap compared to FCE Ultra and other modern emulators. =P

As a Goldeneye player (www.the-elite.net) for many years, I'd be interested in runs like Sub 1:03 Caverns Agent and such. I checked out several roms but all of them got odd graphics/glitches slowing the audio (mostly) down and of course the gameplay. Really annoying, I was playing with a keyboard which is a pain but with slowdown I managed a (extremely crappy on console) 25 on Runway Agent haha. I also don't like how there's no gameshark ability in this emulator, now I have to go through all levels just to get to Caverns on i.e. Agent. -_- Anyway, someone revive this or something as it can turn out really awesome :) do you guys also have odd graphics on your rom etc.? I've tried different settings of course.

it runs very slow for me, so I won't try anything until it all works nice.

I can't use the n64 emulators either, graphics are too choppy... runs at a constant sub 20 fps

Oh cool, so you're making the test runs now? Hmm, that putfile video isn't working right for me. It plays for three seconds then stops. Maybe you should put up the .m64 file instead.

Who are they? Can they send the .m64 files?

It played fine for me, even though it didn't really play by the rules to be accepted here. It was more of an aesthetic demonstration. He applied the cheats or whatever to give the enemies 1000% health, so they all took about 20 head shots to go down. Amusingly, a little computer explosion will do what 10 bullets to the head could not.

That's not a cheat. You can do that in the real game. It's an option that unlocks after you've beaten every level on 00 Agent.

Heh, I tried watching a Facility run video that Ramzi also posted, and it stopped playing after 33 seconds. Does anyone know what's wrong with Ramzi's video files? And sure, you can unlock 007 Mode, but these runs are usually more fun when they start from scratch with no unlockables unlocked. I don't know, though. Maybe we need more opinions.

I've always thought that "DLTK" was somewhat arbitrary and unneeded. 20 head shots to kill an enemy? That seems like it would be boring to me. I can't get Ramzi's video to play at all, but it's probably a problem on my end. (Ignore the fact that I think this would not make a good TAS in the first place.)

Well, the file worked fine for me. Saw the whole run and it was very entertaining. I think that it would be better to see a full run of this game that collects all the cheats, however. ^_^ That's always what I shot for when I played it. A nonstop run, trying to never die, that collects all cheats. The trains Silver PP7 stopped me cold many times. *curses the trains name*

That would mean you'd have to repeat some levels to play them on different difficulties... But oh well!

Well... look at the DLTK settings carefully: Enemy Health: 1000% Enemy Damage: 1000% Enemy Accuracy: 100% Enemy Reaction Time: 100% Summary: If the enemy see you, you're dead. So far 16/20 levels are completed on console under this insane settings: http://thevectorman.net/comeasur/darkltk.html . I would like to see at least the remaining 3 levels (Streets, Train, Cradle) beaten on DLTK :).

I agree, I would also like to see the remaining levels beaten. btw, the direct link for that Silo video is: http://uploadfile.putfile.com/videos/10411255752.avi (search the page source for ".avi")

Well the good thing of clearing some stage on DLTK is actually clear it. But if you use emulator, I don't think it counts. This movie was boring to me. Wren's idea is good, I would like to see that too. And then in the end you enter on the Cheat page and type the codes very fast (the L/R + whatever ones). It would be very nice.

i'm the one who did the silo dltk. i'm not so good, so i thought that people here would probably not be interrested, but here's the m64 file. http://www.savefile.com/files/1662426 i didn't aim for a good time, i was just interrested in completing the level decently fast on maximum settings. the zip also includes 3 other runs played regularly: bunker 1 - secret agent - 0:21 aztec - 00 agent - 1:37 bunker 2 - 00 agent - 0:52 bunker 1 sa pretty bad because i think it's easy to do 1 second faster, but i haven't bothered yet. bunker 2 is my latest, silo was my first. i'm not trying to submit anything on this site, i'm just entertaining myself or something..

So is this game ever going to get done? I personally think that it would almost be better to do segmented style. Like give it it's own page where you can select the level you want to see done....

Why for this game and no other game?

Hmmm...can't really think of any others that doing so would be the best option. True something like Starfox64 MIGHT work...but that's kinda a linear game with a path that goes right to the end of the game and then ends. This one in particular because watching the same level beaten 3 times would be kinda boring. It'd be like Starfox (again) going through the whole thing like 5 times to unlock everything!

Humm maybe just a single-segmented fishing it at 00 Agent, using a SRAM? I think that the SRAM would be allowed..

Now that would be nice! Too bad about the SRAM thing though.
