Well it's all about the safe key dude, whenever he start cooperating, run probably continues. I sent my files over to Simon a while back too, so even if i don't continue he might someday.

Man, I was so excited about this run... almost halfway done with so much progress and now it's dead. This is just sad

How about doing ALL 20 levels? After beating the Antenna Cradle, press B (when on the statistics page) to skip the credits then do the last 2 levels. (Aztec Complex and Egyptian Temple)

I made Aztec "DLTK" (basically, it's the hardest difficulty: all settings on maximum on 007 difficulty) 2:22: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sc4emSyrnJ0 Also try out this emulator that can run GoldenEye and Perfect Dark at 60 FPS: http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8972

Nice one. BUNKER 2 DONE !!! Aww I thought I was never going to complete another 40... so much gayness in this level... http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1931808792/Henrik%20and%20Simon%20-%20Bunker%202%20-%2040.m64 FLV Video Sorry but I don't feel up to doing Statue again... maybe Henrik will get motivated now that Bunker is done. :P

Oh man, thanks ALOT Simon. This is a fantastic contribution to the run of possibly the hardest part in the entire game. What's the decimal? I'm a little too busy to continue with statue right now but perhaps i'll give it a try within 1-2 weeks.

Yo Henrik. :) Although I had to spend hours starting this run again and again, which drived me crazy (I was even thinking of findind another strat because I was not able to conserve the speed lol), it can't be the hardest part of the game! In my opinion the hardest time I achieved is Streets 1.51 (and maybe Statue then?). This will really be a pain. Thanks anyway! Decimal was .86 (a bit better than my first run), could have been slightly faster without the headshots before the big room but it's more important to keep them as far as I get 40. :D For Statue, I don't know if we can wait the cinema (if not we can't get 2 boost at start) ?

150k plus re-record :-0, you guys must be going for some kind of record here. Anyway, I really hope we Aztec and Egyptian levels. The credits at the end of cradle don't matter that much.

The plan so far has been to use like button codes to open up Aztec and Egypt and do those before even attempting cradle. That way we'll get both level and end the game in a normal fashion. I can definately not justify watching cinema on statue :P I didn't do it on Silo either which is probably a bigger saver(?). It seems streets and statue is just boost manipulation? Is it really that hard?

Then good luck for 2.15 without this boost (and possibly without the 3rd). :/ This way we are aiming for 2.16. In that case Jack's way will be better in beginning (going by the middle), we can get a boost there.

Hm now that you mention it it would be a shame not to not tie the TAS wr considering it's been done on all other levels so far. Tough choice.

Oh, anyway we forgot about the problem : in 2.3 we wont be able to do the insane Val strafe so...

Simon, please explain what you are referring to (for those of us who are less informed on the control differences :)

You can't lean in 2.3, and leaning is essential to strafe Val like a motherfucker. Nice to see bunker done, I'll have to watch it later on.

Exactly. So (I think ?) the best thing to do is to skip this cinema and aim for 2.17, which should be doable since Bryan did 2.18 (very high though) non-TAS, with 3 boost. EDIT : Okay, I re-did B2's ending with a better (!) glass warp because the previous one was ugly, and "started" Statue. I made a full slow motion run of the level, to get the thing. Pretty good run, 5 boosts (only got 1 from shootgun guys), ended with 2.17,2. Alright, it should be a problem to go for 2.16, and we only loose 1 second then. :) Here is the new file. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/351538867/Henrik%20and%20Simon%20-%20Statue%20WIP.m64

nice to see bunker finished :D looks way cool! I'd be all for an individual levels in-game-timer approach (as the exisiting GE/PD community is the same)... so I wouldn't mind if you go into a level to change control, then restart it (or wait through cinema's) but probably you've already skipped on that (you mentioned silo?) Either way... go for consistent decisions :)

So far the run has aimed for fastest total time but at the same time aiming if possible for TAS wr. So if time on statue without watching cinema is 2:17.1 and with cinema 2:16.9 then watching cinema is most likely what we'll do. But for a diffrence between 2:16.9 and 2:16.0 we wont.

We can obviously get 216 skipping the cinema there. If you are ok Henrik, can I do or at least start the level ? It seems easier than I thought now. ;)

I thought the game was being TASed on the setting which allows two controllers to be used at once.

STATUE : DONE ! And I end with... 2:15 ! =D I'm myself very amazed that I've been able to tie the TAS Wr without the Valstrafe super trick. At Trevshot, I had a 75 frames gain compared to my 217,2 test run, from there I knew 215 was pretty much possible. (Sorry for the 2 bullets in the block after Valstrafe but that's the only way I found to get those stupid guys in the right spot ;_;) The .m64 The video I think I should let Henrik continue Archives since he already rocked this level many times! ;-) (You'll think about Silo strats later dude =p)
