There are a few other spots in previous WIPs where it looks like it would save time, such as the pipe leading into the clanker's cavern lobby.

A few things to keep in mind for FP, *Ending a Beak Bomb exactly at ground level cancels the pause that happens when you exit the beak bomb. If you do this on snow or ice, you keep some of the speed from the Beak Bomb. *Crash-landing a Beak Bomb on snow covers a lot of ground quickly, even on steep slopes. Finishing the crash animation on a steep slope cancels part of the recovery animation. *Burning two red feathers right before a Beak Bomb makes it gain height rather than lose it. *Similarly, if you pull back on the control stick before a Beak Bomb, you can dive at a steeper angle. With this technique and the previous one, it should be possible to snatch the jiggy off the snowman's hat in mid-beak bomb for major style points. *Running in tight circles makes the snowmen (and Gruntilda) look stupid. *You can dive a short distance even in freezing water by hitting A and then Z 1 frame later, or by using the diving glitch with Wonderwing.

Does Banjo-Kazooie have, like Banjo-Tooie, a Beak Bomb that you can hold B to go further than the usual distance?

As far as I know, it doesn't.But my knowledge with this game isn't too good right now.I plan to work with it and the sequel in the future. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oNM8XygiLVc In this video I didn't hold B down and got extra distance. If you could get extra distance in BK, you could definetly get to the Clanker's Cavern puzzle without the spring jump thing.I don't know if that's possible already though since I just started playing the banjo series again recently.I hooked up my n64 again and it somehow worked.:) EDIT: Damn, I feel like an idiot.I thought you meant beak buster.=(

tapping B is the same as holding B in Banjo-Kazooie for the Beak Bomb, unfortunately. It's only in tooie that you have superior length and direction control while bombing.

Okay. Just don't forget that if you cancel a beak bomb into a flip-flap jump you keep the momentum during the windup. In fact, now might be a good time to test my earlier theory that you can keep beak bomb speed indefinitely by going from a beak bomb directly into a crouch-slide, then extending the crouch slide by exiting it and re-entering it one frame later. I couldn't get this to work in a console test becaus I couldn't achieve the required precision.

remember that the witch switch jiggy from gobis valley can get collected without pressing the witch switch. (the one in the coffin.) you can get it by ground pounding the top of the coffin.

Can't you also Beak Bomb into the wall above the Freeze Easily Peak entrance to get that puzzle piece too? I thought I read that somewhere, but maybe I just imagined it. Anyway, yes, it's a good idea to try using all your moves to poke through a wall when there's an important item just on the other side.

Here is route to Gobi's Valley http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/25275863/Banjo-Kazooie-TAS-Sami-%28USA%29.m64 It's long and I take 4 Jiggy's and get new move, Beak Bomb. I use faster route to get Bubblegloop Swamp witch switch Jiggy. I get Gobi's Valley Jiggy with a gitch (inside sphinx) In Freezeezy Peak, I collect two Jiggys, one inside snowman pipe (with glitch) and Boggy gives second. Beware! There is intimate moment with Banjo and Bottles ;)

Very nice, I love how you got the switch jiggy from Bubblegloop Swamp, I never even thought of that.

You mean his Mupen settings? The latest m64 file states that he's using Jabo's Direct3D8 1.6, Jabo's DirectSound 1.6, TAS Input Plugin 0.6 and the regular RSP emulation Plugin.
