Haha, not entirely off topic because it is sort of Christmas still. Cool, looking forward to it =). Might even be sub 12 minutes now. For anyone wanting an encode I will do one if you wish. Is there any specific format you want? I will try and have one up by the end of the day seeing as how I cleverly deleted all my ROM files (Including Banjo Kazooie) by mistake last night. Will write more later

That would be really great! :) As it's "just" a WIP (and not a publication), I don't really care about the format. Still, x264 and vorbis sound in an mkv would be neat. Xvid and mp3 in an avi would be alright as well, of course ;)

Do not encode that old WIP, I'll give the new WIP tomorrow + route to the RBB.

Sami, I am actually having a little trouble replicating the Freezeezy Peak Witch Switch glitch on the emulator; So you may have to stick with the old WIP file if you cannot make it work. I say it work because the other day I did it on the console and saw it listed on various websites. I just assumed it worked on the emulators.

It should work, unless the game's coding has been meddled with. Just have to hit in the right spot really. :/

Haha I couldn't agree more. Does this bring FEP time to below 12 minutes? :)

Hmm... I don't believe the level clock counts during those cutaways to Grunty's lair, so it would be a few seconds to jump to the island and stomp the switch, then another couple to get back into talon trot mode and jump off again. Would it be 8 seconds worth? I don't know about that...

http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/267784630/Banjo-Kazooie-TAS-Sami-(USA).m64 Fixed FP time is now 12.04 =) I found couple new timesavers. Like Comicalflop said, entering the chirstamastree using jump+z is couple of frames faster than normally climbing. And i take that mumbotoken differently, same time as I give the present to the bear. And the route to the RBB I found a cool bug. When you have only a one healt left and you do peak bomb to the wall in right frame you loose that heat and you dont die :o and when you enter next room (with black screen) banjo's healt is full and you missing i life in your life counter :D You can see this trick after I taking the GL Jiggy 8.

Well 12.04 is nothing to sneeze at. Still an awesome time! I will encode this WIP now for everyone while BkDJ is away.

Can you make the encode in avi format? My computer hates mkvs and every encode of this game so far has been mkv : /

It's not your computer, it's your installed codecs. http://www.cccp-project.net/

A codec is not a container format.

Apologies for the slight delay, everyone. The video is uploading now. The dimensions are 640x480 with the original MP4-AVI codec converted directly into a WMV using Windows Movie Maker for convenience for everyone. The file size is approximately 90MB. I will post a link for the download in several hours time.

No problems. Unfortunately, I won't be on my computer when the upload finishes either. By the time it finishes I probably wont be back on for at least 7-8 hours. However if you guys want to watch it, I'm uploading it to Megaupload. As far as I'm aware you can run a google search; "megaupload *filename*" and it will still allow you to download it. The file name is; "Sami's BK TAS Run (WIP) Part 9 [WMV].wmv" It should be available in an hour and a half.

Ehm... Google only finds a file on Megaupload (or any other upload service for that matter) because somebody linked it somewhere on a publicly available website. Imagine your private photos of you dancing around in the back yard naked could be found via Google just because you uploaded them there as a backup for yourself - not that great, is it? ;) So, bottom line: We'll have to wait for you to give us the link to that file.

Kinda ironic, once you give us the link, google will work lol.

The file is refusing to upload. It stops around half way through and won't move any farther. I think we have to wait for bkDJ :( Edit: I'll try again but make the filesize half and see if that works.
