Because Mumbo tokens and cheats don't are "main" items. You don't have collect all :P It looks silly if i collect Mumbo tokens stages where is no Mumbo :S

Hmm, I don't know. I think you could make a valid argument either way for both mumbo tokens and cheats since they are both recorded by the game as permanent. There is a fixed number of mumbo tokens in the game, although you don't need them all, so I think that could slide. I would consider that showing all 3 Cheato locations would be a cool feature to exhibit 100% of the game. Then again, this disagrees with the SDA convention of what merits 100%.

I think you should define 100% for maximum entertainment. Does going out of your way for all the tokens make it more interesting? I finally had a chance to watch the SDA speedrun and heres the main thing I saw: Banjo does a dance after each Jiggy, and again after the 10th Jiggy. This by itsself will take up about 10 minutes over the course of the movie. Therefore, pick up a jiggy when flying, swimming or transformed as often as possible, especially the last one in each world.

The dance takes about 6 seconds. 6 seconds x 100 Jiggies = 600 seconds = 10 minutes.

If you're doing a REAL 100% run, why not use the passwords to open up the special secrets? The special eggs and the ice key that most players have NO clue how to get to, if they even know they exist. That's a good way to open some eyes. Might take a while, though, to collect them all.

I didn't knew you really could get them (the key and eggs) in Banjo Kazooie. Though I had heard some rumors about them, but still I though you could get them only in Banjo Tooie. So in other words, I'd very much like to see how to get them ;)

How to get the eggs: To get the eggs you need to type some stuff in the Treasure Trove sandcastle and then go to the places. If you search on GameFaqs you can find the codes.

Oh, yes. Now that you mentioned that, I remember reading/hearing that from somewhere but never tested it myself.

First WIP! Spiral Mountain is complete ;) http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1538/Banjo-Kazooie-TAS-Sami.m64 I jumped from the stump a little bit diagonally because I had to get to the right side of the honeycomb in order to get it with one jump. And I found a little trick. If you start rolling from high places, you can do another roll right after it.

Looks good but still somewhat improvable. Don't get me wrong, I know it is very hard to make N64 runs as accurate as possible, so just keep up the same qualit and you'll do just fine ;). If anyone is interested, my small (test) run of the same area can still be found at: http://koti.mbnet.fi/maza-/Speedrun/Banjo-Kazooie_run.rar

I hope you are using gamepad to eliminate all diagonal turns, which eventual will take quite a lot time - unlike I did in my test ;D. Anyways, I'll be watching this one very closely; Banjo Kazooie was one of my favourite N64 games in the real console. So you are now aming for 100%, which includes what?: 100 jiggies 900 notes all honeycombs (don't remember how many there are) mumbo tokens Ice Key and the eggs activating cheats ?

Im using keyboard :D but i don't have to roll anymore when i get that Talon Trot movement. Im aming 100 jiggies 900 notes all honeycombs Ice key and eggs Finding three cheato books I don't collect all mubo tokens becouse you don't need to collect all of them :P Eggs and Ice key activate take some time. What you guy's think? Shall i do it? And game is one my favorite games :) i have real version and i have played that 100% many times ;)

I would say don't bother with the Ice Key or eggs. They serve no purpose and would slow the run down a lot.

It shouldn't really matter whether it's 99 or about 60. The results should be the same, more or less. Actually, when doing runs on a game pad, it's probably a better idea to make the limit be closer to 60 or 70. As for the eggs and keys, I would say that it would not be worth doing. They're not official items in my mind, since you have to type in codes that don't appear anywhere in the game. And it'll take so much time of boring typing.

It takes about 10 minutes to type them all in in real time, but I imagine 7 minutes would me closer to TAS time. Then there's the time to collect the items: TTC Egg: 1:02 Ice Key: 0:11 GV Egg: 0:24 (Courtesy of Mumbo's end-of-game photos, so they can probably done 30% faster or so) And the other 3 items, 2 of which will be only slightly off the route.

Not worth it. Stick to your conventional 100%. Which is basically all I said plus the three Cheato books, as far as I can see. Warp Cauldrons are only necessary if they save time (read: the red ones when you go back to open CCW and enter your cheat codes).
