I found a note door skip (✿◠‿◠) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fxCTo61tiM It's the 640 one so it's not useful yet.

Ive never played this game but its overworld system reminds me of DK64. So what actually prevents you to get to Grunties door earlier or why are the 69 Jiggies needed? Is your way blocked by the same kinda doors you showed you are able to skip? If so, what really prevents you e.g. how many doors prevent you?

Here are the doors/"world entries" required to complete the game without glitches. I marked the ones I've found skips for. Notes open up parts of the overworld and jiggies (like Stars from Super Mario 64) open up levels. Note Doors "Required":
    MM-->TTC: 50 CC-->BGS: 180 BGS-->FP: 260 FP-->GVPuzzle: 350 FP-->MMMPuzzle: 450 RBB-->CCW: 640 CCW-->FF: 765 FF-->Grunty: 810
Jiggies "required":
    Mumbo's Mountain - 1 Treasure Trove Cove - 2 Clanker's Cavern - 5 Bubblegloop Swamp - 7 Freezeezy Peak - 8 Gobi's Valley - 9 Mad Monster Mansion - 10 Rusty Bucket Bay - 12 Click Clock Woods - 15 Final Battle - 25
Notes are collected in the worlds which is why you need them. You also need some moves in worlds in order to beat the final boss. EDIT: Added in the two new note door skips I found.

Even if the 810 note isn't skippable, it may be worth checking if levels can usefully be done out of order via note door skips. (My guess is no, but that doesn't mean it isn't worth checking.) This might be especially useful if it turns out that level unlocks in the middle of the game are unavailable because you want to skip a lot of early jiggies in favour of a lot of late ones (but that also seems a bit surprising).

If one of the earlier note doors was skippable, sure. But it's not likely you'd want to go to CCW early since everything in it takes a long time to get

Cool, nice find! 50 note door idea: Maybe clip through torch (using beehive) and then jump towards door? 745 note door idea: With bee, tried to clip through corner, but failed: camera did get slightly glitched. Or possibly use the bull near the wall near the hill or leaf to somehow get through the wall? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gA_Gt4329TE

I just fell in love with you, Cronikeys :) Keep up the outstanding work!

I was wondering if someone with more experience TASing would like to give the ice key clip a try, and try applying the same method to a note door (that has some form of a ceiling above it, like the 260 note door, which I've included in the save states. Also, RBB note door save state if anyone wants to try flip and beak buster). http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?ahde8o2mirrr82p (I gave them a try, but my lack of skill in TASing made it not possible for me to do) *(forgot to mention...method I was talking about was doing the backflip that is suggested by ign) 810 note door ideas (unlikely, but putting them out there anyway): -Clip through stairs at beginning -Use cauldron activation scene somehow -Wonderwing (based on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SCKE7dRf1o at 2:34, though probably need very narrow space to get into, also unlikely)

If you clip through the 765 and 810 note door that would leave 260 notes to collect. You could get that by beating only 3 worlds, meaning you'd only need 7 jiggies.
You also need some moves in worlds in order to beat the final boss.
Which ones, exactly? Still, even if you need the jiggies required to access gobi's valley and freezeezy peak, the total jiggies would still only be 22, which is about 1/3rd of what's currently needed for any%. @Cronikeys:

You need egg pooping, flying and the beak bomb, for starters (which means visiting mumbo's mountain, ttc and freezeezy peak for 9 jiggies)

At the final battle, does the game really check if you learned to fly ?

The game does check if you can fly, so you'll need to visit: 1. Mumbo's for all moves there 2. TTC for flight 3. CC for enough notes to get past the third door 4. FP for beak bomb 5. MMM to get pumpkin for the water level switch That is at least 26 jiggies. If the 765 note door skip was found it would likely be with bee so you might have to add another 15 jiggies for Click Clock Woods. But to be honest the 810 note door looks unlikely to be skipped. There is not a lot to work with in the room, and without flight you really need to clip right next to the door. The area around the door is a bit weird (especially the nearby corners and the archway) but in this game weird is far from clippable (as Cronikeys said, it seems like the areas you are most likely to clip are areas that DON'T look glitchy).

Beak bomb isn't needed. You can ground pound Grunty in the final fight. Also, I found these two silly things: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pd6y5IuwLc4 This ring keeps spawning here when you re-enter Gobi's Valley main area. It pops up when the camera is on it. Maybe getting it once like this could be worked into the route after snake charmer room? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qqhDqTtTt8Y I don't know what to make of this. =| I floated across the fog in the final Grunty fight. I also found some silly warp pot stuff. None of it is really useful, but I might make a video later and edit it into this post.

I'm Powerccom on youtube. I strongly believe it has to do with the fog "floor" being an unsuitable surface to stand on which prevents you from recovering from the damage (and thus preventing the instant death from taking place). It has been years since I last played so my memory of this behavior may be wrong. Vertical surfaces normally push you in a specific direction but because the fog floor is a perfectly flat horizontal surface, you keep your horizontal momentum and literally float away in whatever direction you were falling. This is only a theory and I'm really interested in why/how it happens.

I'm late to the party but wow, great job on the Grunty Puzzle skip! I guess in any%, speed shoes would be skipped so FP can be done in its entirety (minus 2nd Boggy Race) in one visit?

Man, when I was younger I used to play around with this game a lot, and that trick is pretty easy to reproduce in real-time with the homing attack, though at the time I thought it was necessary to touch the wall during knockback... or is that just what I did to slide along the fog slower...? Anyway I doubt any real use could come of it. :P

I wonder if all instant death floors work the same way. If only there were something to damage you in the furnace fun room so you could possibly float across the lava the same way. But the lava is a lot below the board anyway so I doubt you could get up even if it were possible.

I destroyed this game. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8WpHc2KdYoM This lets you finish it with 43 jiggies.

That's fantastic! I applaud your work, and I really hope to see a wacky new any% run in the future as a result.

Out of curiosity, could this glitch also be useful somehow in a 100% run?

Ringrush pointed out you can fly into BGS. You need 41 jiggies, not 43 =)

Wow, nice job! Those cauldrons are useful haha. So mumbo does not change you back if you try to go to BGS, MMM, (or other places you can transform?) Or is it because you can fly past the "activation" thing for mumbo in BGS? Also, I'm guessing you could only do the above water parts in CC?
