A few of us have decided that his "TAS" moniker has got to go. In its stead, I propose that we change the name of our movies to NATE runs. Notably Assisted by Tools for Entertainment This makes it a lot easier to refer to our movies, and it also brings a more personal feel to the whole shebang. I submit this as a possible name change. Thoughts?

You should come up with an acronym that spells out CHEAT or FAKE or something like that.

Completely Humanmade Emulation Assisted Timeattacks sounds better.

I love that idea! It's kind of like when racial/ethnic slurs are taken by the victims and used for other purposes, thus deflating the hurtful intention of the original sluree (if that's even a word).

Yeah, and only we'd be able to call each other cheaters. If other people called us cheaters, it'd be racist or something.

Zurreco, you don't like TAS, but you like NATE? I don't think I'll be signing this petition. Although I do like the pseudo-racist-but-not-really idea. Y'all cheaters can't fuck with my cheaters, hoe. Reading "sluree" made me laugh a lot.

I'd like to rename them to Fabians if that's ok with everyone? Edit: Please note, not in caps or anything like that. That just looks stupid.

TAS is a three syllable phrase that connotes a focus on speed. We don't focus entirely on speed, but entertainment, and so the term is useless and misguided. NATE is a one syllable word that is both personifiable and easy to toss around. Also, the acronym works better than some of the ideas being tossed around here. PS: "Fabians" is a terrible name for these runs. We want to express a feeling of excellence, not noobitude :p

Little did you know, Fabians are so last week. The new thing on the streets is the unstoppable train known as the NATE runs. Telegram for Fabian: you got served stop

I always thought it was 1. I pronounce TAS like TAZ but it's tass.

That sounds terrible. "tass" is even more painful on these delicate ears than "T A S" ever could be.

I just read your previous post Zurreco and the thought of someone pronouncing TAS T-A-S (three syllables) makes me giggle.

hmm. what's so wrong with "TAS"?
"Genuine self-esteem, however, consists not of causeless feelings, but of certain knowledge about yourself. It rests on the conviction that you — by your choices, effort and actions — have made yourself into the kind of person able to deal with reality. It is the conviction — based on the evidence of your own volitional functioning — that you are fundamentally able to succeed in life and, therefore, are deserving of that success." - Onkar Ghate

No, but they do focus on using tool assistance for entertainment, and they are notable. N A T E

I think it's perfectly fine to have some discussion about NATE in here, but let's try not to hijack this thread, let's keep discussion focused on the new hip name for "TASes" from now on everybody, thanks.

In other news, my Fabian for Super Mario World (11-exit) should be done rather soon. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Y'all Fabers can't fuck with my Fabers, hoe.

Fabian: I don't get it. Are we supposed to stay on topic and talk about renaming TAS movies as NATE runs or not? JXQ: So you fiddle with your Fabian in your spare time?

Everyone, We were just talking a bit in the #nesvideos channel, and the following question came up: If you're a person who makes Fabians, what are you called? A Faber or a Fabber? Please respond with your thoughts, thanks. I'm leaning towards Faber at the moment but I could easily be convinced to go the other way.
