As awesome as ever, some of the added features and changed physics of this hack really makes for good TAS material. And since I'm not to familiar with the hack I have to ask, how much is left of the run, 40-50% or so?

Yeah, around 40% I guess.

Excellent as always saturn, it's probably been asked/answered before, but can we expect an SMV when you're finished?

Thanks guys! evilchen: The AVI quality looks pretty decent on my computer. Maybe you just have a older version of the flash player installed that can't handle the new format very well? As for the smv, we will see when the run is done.

I agree that it does look pretty bad on YouTube. I don't blame you for not wanting to put out the SMV yet, though. You're TASing a beast of a game, I'm just glad I get to watch.

Good news, the next WIP is out! Be prepared for crazy boss strategies, some interesting suitless water navigation techniques, and a totally new sequence break I found just a few weeks ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBfX1ZyBg78 Enjoy!

Damn, I have to say again and again, the modifications to the screwattack and speedbooster (in combination with overall excellent planning as well as playing) just makes this run so awesome. The game really lends itself extremely well for TASing.

You think so? Hmm... maybe something I should be thinking about... Edit: Watched the WIP. Wow. That's impressive. Nothing else I can really add.

Well, as long as it does not infringe upon the gameplay.

I always found the different physics in Redesign to be annoying, myself. I just can't get used to the non-floaty jumps. That said, it certainly looks impressive when TASed. Are you doing infinite 1-wall underwater walljumps by canceling spin to stop your horizontal momentum and then immediately starting spinning again?

Thanks everyone! I totally agree that Redesign has endless potential to make a entertaining TAS due to the new physics. That's why I picked it up in the first place, despite that it also takes much more optimization and planning work than the original game because of it. I think the effort is worth it in the end. Derakon: Nope, I use the previously mentioned zig-zag tech to 1-walljump underwater, just like I did in the RBO run in SM. Cancelling the spinjump would work as well, but you lose 1 or 2 frames due to being forced to release the jump button during it. The only time I did the cancel was to get the item drops in the Kago room with the help of the grapple hook, which are definitely worth this small sacrifice.

Your WIPs continue to impress, Saturn. Keep it up! ALSO: Any further word on you ETA for the run? I remember you said you were hoping to have it done this year.

WIP Excellent! So if you had disarmed the first guardian of Norfair. You gain more time to finalize SMR! But as it was without the Gravity Suit ... Still you are Great !!! As you will get that shortcut, the elevator Maridia to Norfair will leave you well near the Guardian !!!...

Next WIP is out, with once again many little speed tricks that were never seen/done before. One of them, the "Sandfall Shinespark", is especially useful, as it allows for a pretty big, new route shortcut. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UHqON7Tt6Q More details and further trick-info/demonstrations in the video description. Enjoy!

Impressive, as usual. So, I take it that there will be two more segments. Is this correct?

Giggity. Sweet that you seem to have really picked up the pace with the run, I guess closing in on the end of such a huge project might give a boost in motivation =) Very, very awesome anyway.

Yeah, great stuff. Just two questions: Why did you take off the speed booster (and the ice beam) when you went into the lava at one point to disarm a guardian? And are you sure you're going to need all those missiles you collected?
