Cool sneak peak. Gotta say tho, the 'physics' for this Redesign, now that I've seen them in action, just don't seem to flow as smoothly and it rubs me the wrong way :p

Highness: I was talking about movie playing; not patching. Kyrsimys: You're right. I don't understand what the difference is, since the crc's are the same. Saturn: It looks good so far. Redesign will make a better tas than I thought. Is this going to be an any% run or full? I noticed a few places where you run up against a red door and run as soon as it opens. Wouldn't it be faster to stay back so you won't have to accelerate?

While a good idea in a sense, missiles and such have a set rate of fire. I believe that being point blank with the door makes this as small as possible as opposed to standing back to get a full run into the door.

Bob: I would do a any% TAS especially because this route will allow many great sequence breaks SM-Redesign offers. I think it's faster to run as close to the red doors as possible to (as Atma said) increase the fire rate and cutting the travel time of the missile till the door to open it earlier.

So does that mean you are doing an any% run?

Yes, if I will TAS this hack I will do a any% run. I haven't continued to work on it yet because of the RBO run and because I would firstly like to know whether this hack gets a special permission on TASvideos. If not it wouldn't be worth the big work.

After watching Saturn's preview, I think this will make a more interesting TAS than I originally thought. If nothing else, I'm interested to see the weapon management, especially when purple doors rear their ugly heads. But I hope that the RBO run is completed first :)

THIS is the video I'm definitely waiting for...this game was rough on me due to new physics and the skill level involved...its the first game that made me throw my controller at the screen since i was a little kid playing the NES. I wanna see it broken!

In that case, you need to use a hammer or something that relatively heavy or dense (a metal object works best though). A controller wont suffice in breaking your screen unless you were maybe throwing it out of a moving car at a stationary tv.

Could someone give me some help for the game ? I have to find the last 4 guardians, but I really don't know where they are. Map screens or anything would be cool, because I'd like to finish the game before the TAS is done :p Thanks everyone =)

I can't give you a exact hint where the missing guards are since you didn't mention which you have already found. But in general there are always 3 Guards in each Sector (Brinstar, Crateria, Norfair and Maridia). If you came to the room with the guard earlier (no matter if disarmed or not) it will be marked with a Chozo Head on the Map. Use this to see which ones you already have found on the maps. The Guards are more or less ordered in the left, middle and right position of each sector-map.

Link_enfant, here's a map that you may find useful ^^ . I used it in order to check the chozo guardians I disarmed or not. If you can't find a way to them, don't hesitate to ask me about it.

I was watching Saturn's run in order to see where the guardians are once Samus is coming in Tourian, but I don't need to do that anymore. However, thanks Saturn, and Qlex, thanks a Lot ! ^_^

Clear Time: 16:48 Item Recovery: 77.7% Awsome game. Will i ever play it again? Probably not. But if there's an I HATE DREWSEPH CLUB, i would really like to be a member. That half hour escape gave me three heart attacks and two nervous breakdowns. This is by far one of the best games i have ever played. My deepest respects.

I found a 1:40 run of this by Atma, it uses v1.1 headered. This game has so much TAS potential it's scary. Going through it I was half afraid he had made it too difficult to get going fast, but I guess I was very wrong. Features some very nice sequence breaks. I finally finished this game though, 84.7% and 24:47. Heh.
