Does anyone have an idea what "soquid" is supposed to mean on that stupid Wendy's advertisement? (I figured out that "fpoon" really means spoon, so no need to fill me in there)
<Swordless> Go hug a tree, you vegetarian (I bet you really are one)
Some information I was able to decipher on topic:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soquid
But I still don't know what you are talking about or why you made this topic. Clarify.
There's a Wendy's advertisement I saw at the restaurant that says "Frosty: The only soquid you eat with a fpoon." I had no idea what to make of it. I thought fpoon was supposed to be someone saying spoon with a cold mouth, but after reading what you posted, it seems it could be a fork-spoon, just as so-quid is a solid-liquid.
Xebra's original idea was a spin-off of this same slogan.
Soquid...what a dumb idea.

"Fpoon" is a "Frosty Spoon." One of the stupidest commercial I've ever seen, even for fast food.
The new topic should read "nesvideos, the home of Platinum Barrios and Fabian runs."

How about changing Nesvideos. Long time ago, I suggested this but Bisqwit explained that a vast majority of the runs are from NES and still is only nowadays, that majority has somewhat been decreased (or I could be totally wrong). But that shoul not matter, because this site is extremely popular and growing each day. I feel we need a title which reflects all runs, not just NES runs.

I disagree, mainly because the term 'TAS' is still just a stand in until we can all finally agree on a term for the movies made here. However, since the domain is just as fluid as the current one, I don't see why not.

That's a good idea.

Says who? You?
Why would we need anything else? "Tool-assisted speedrun" is a term established in the speedrunning community even before this site existed (it started with the Doom tool-assisted speedrunning community many years before this site was created) and the meaning of the term as used back then is exactly what these videos are. Why would we need to change it? Changing it now, after all these years, would only cause confusion with no benefit whatsoever.
The original term "timeattack" used in this site was a mistake (afaik it was Morimoto who first used that term, quite confusingly, to name his SMB3 video, and then the term spread like a harmful virus until it was (mostly) eradicated and killed).
"We don't do these videos for speed" is complete BS. When a video obsoletes another by being a dozen frames faster, that's nothing else than aiming for speed. From the 300+ videos in this site there are probably less than 5 where speed is not the goal (and that's only because speed can't be a goal in the game itself because it's a fixed-speed scroller game).
Wikipedia has an article on tool-assisted speedruns. There are several articles about tool-assisted speedruns in other sites too, including interviews of Bisqwit and others. Tool-assisted speedruns have gained some popularity. Changing the term now would be completely foolish.

maybe we could increase popularity by calling them "comedies" or maybe "dramas". I hope no other site has used those yet... I'd wanna watch a CM or a DM, regardless of the content just to see what it was. Then, after seeing Glass Joe get put down in record time, I'd be hooked and would stop caring what they were called altogether.
What would Mr Belvedere do? Probably eat some butter.
Dramas? Ha! They are documentaries! Every one of them! They're each a monument to the real lives of real heroes...Mario, Megaman, Samus....
....and the events occured in REAL TIME!!!!!!!
And yes of course we obviously must rename the community asap. "nesvideos" is absurd, as if nobody would have ever thought to adapt another emulator to record another pixel format? And the url is absolutely outrageous, with bisqwits petty attrition war of breaking the internet by pointlessly forcing trailing slashes onto the absolutely unchanging public notwithstanding. tasvideos.* domains are available even just as a redirector for now. This is a community that's been featured on MTV, for crying out loud! We have arrived! TASers of the world, unite!!! Hack the planet!!! ^_^

Perfect! The market for Videogame Documentaries (VDs) is huge! Everyone will want as many VDs as we can create! Bisqwit will be all the more famous for creating something to spread VDs internationally!

That is so wrong on more levels than one.

Set a man on fire, warm him for the rest of his life.
