it desynced for me in the bug woods, however, I noticed a few mistakes anyway. 1) you walk around the guy between littleroot and oldale town, as opposed to just walking right next to him(wasting about 5 tiles of walking each time, as you did it not once, but twice). 2) you fight several trainers who you can skip. While I can understand you're doing this to get exp needed to learn moves, it still kinda looks bad to me. 3) you pick up potions. this is probably the biggest offender to me, as you should be able to manipulate away any and probably all damage if this is anything like the previous two 'sets' of games. A lot better than your previous attempt though, although I'm a fan of names, not , . - etc. :P
No 1/256 rule applied here my friend. Or else I'd love to abuse that little mess-up. But thanks for the good feedback! EDIT: Also, My starter needs to take damage for the fire attacks to get a 1.5 boost in power.

The 1/256 thing applied to only one attack.

I believe it applied to all attacks that 'never miss' actually. Mainly swift, but you know.

In RBY, it applied to all attacks which target the opponent (both damage and stat modifiers). Many suspect that this was a programming oversight. Moves which affect only the user are true 100%. This error was fixed in GSC, which I assume means that it is also fixed in RSE.

It is, and in this game, for my starter to have his fire moves powered up by 1.5, his HP by be at least 33% or lower. And also, the Torchic family has the hardest run, because of so many disadvantaged gyms (Roxanne, Watson (no immunity + can be outrunned), Flannery (Toughest Pokemon is a Defensive Tank), Winova, and the Twins (though Sharpedo fixes that :) )). Hence the need to actually battle to get high enough stats for a critical hit to count!

Then why did you pick Torchic? I'm not very familiar with the details of this game, but if Torchic is as bad as you say, you seem to be shooting yourself in the foot.

Torchic is apparantly the best choice for beating the E4.

Yes, it defeats 4/5 members (Phoebe posing the only problem). Hence why Kyogre is there as back-up. Also, the point I was trying to make in my earlier post was that Torchic has a harder path, but is much more useful in my opinion. With Mudkip, he's a lot slower, and with two water Pokemon, it seem's quite redundant then. Also, power is much more important in this run, since I'm not using a tank to stall time here.

A pokemon built around taking damage. Also called a sponge from time to time. A good example of this is Chansey/Blissey, as they have extremely high HP.

Is there some way perhaps you could luck manipulate or something as such the "Pokémon Emerald" game to be able to obtain the Old Sea Chart to catch mew? from my research It's apparently only obtainable by going to a Nintendo event but surely there is some kind of glitch that can be used?

Not a "General" topic! Moving into the applicable Pokémon game thread (or at least the Game Boy Advance thread). It's a GBA game, right?

If no one's working on this game any more, I might. Personally, I think Mudkip is the best starter for this, but if anyone convinces me that this is not the case, then I'll change starters. Just a quick overview of what stuff is needed. Great Ball for catching Kyogre: The guy gives one to you. HM slaves: Maybe Tropius for Fly and Strength, Tentacool for Waterfall and Dive, and Zigzagoon for Surf, Rock Smash and Cut. A Thunder TM to teach to Kyogre so that he can defeat the water gym. And about Zigzagoon's Pickup abiltiy picking up Rare Candies: How abusable is this? Could you potentially get a Rare Candy after every battle?

You're a little too late, as I've already passed that part. You could always just steal Wally's. Does anyone have any suggestions or other things like that, because I want to know before I continue.

Did you try turning off Real Time Clock? It works if you do, although it probably should have been on in the first place. kirbymuncher, is it possible to pass random looking trainers if you walk by them instead of running? Anyway, I'm glad that the run worked for me.

I think that Ralts is like Abra, weak in the beginning and powerful in the end. I promise to vote yes if you use Gardevoir(twice evolved Ralts) in this run :D P.S. Yes, yet another fan~
