CDi Link is so hungry he could eat an ocktorok. Chances are that he is hungry enough to eat all the other Links too. Therefore, CDi Link wins.

How so? The feather in Link's Awakening is essentially the same thing as the cape in Minish Cap. Aside from the whole floating deely, which is largely ineffective as is, how are they dissimilar?

ALttP Link would "owz0r" everyone else with his awesome medallion magic. If he runs out of magic, he'd just use the magic mirror to escape into the Dark Realm and refill. Or take the other Links there and kill them while they are turned into various fluffy animals. The end.

NO J00 FOOLZ. AoL Link would totally pwnz0r the other Links with HOT RAPID POGO DOWNTHRUST ACKSHUN. Yes. =P

The original Link (LoZ/AoL) would beat everyone else. He can upthrust, downthrust, and jump at will, among his other swordfighting skills. If that's not enough, he's got all those cool items and spells from his adventures. Finally, let's remember that he completed his quests with minimal guidance. How can you even think of comparing people who need talking hats or annoying fairies to constantly help them with a true hero like the original Link?

I voted for AoL Link, but I think it's more of a showdown between AoL Link and aLttP Link. Comparing the stories between the two, AoL has more experience and has far more epic quest than aLttP with comparable equipment (AoL has better spells and is more manuverable (downthrust, upthrust,) and more magic, aLttP has the cape.) AoL Link already killed Ganon, and not only that he killed the Ganon with the most experience and the only one that wasn't bound in some way (He had broken free from the Dark World, kidnapped Zelda, and already built a base of power.) (aLttP he was bound to the Dark World, but that doesn't really matter, which is why I consider him a contender.) All in all aLttP Link would beat LoZ Link, but lose to AoL Link, the difference is experience. I would have said TP Link, because his adventure has the same dark tone as AoL Link, but I haven't played it and chances are you haven't either. So time will tell on that one. EDIT: Link's Awakening Link is LttP Link without awesome equipment. OoT Link: he has massive staying power (20x2x5 hearts, x7 for MM.) But his spells take forever to cast, and he only has 6 shots, 3 for Fayore's Wind, unless he carries Blue Potion. And he doesn't even have spells in MM, he has masks, but Oni Link Mask is sealed, and he's a better fighter without them. But OoT can't deal damage with the speed and amount that either aLttP or AoL Link can and they aren't slotches with it comes to HP either (aLttP Link can take half as much damage, AoL has a healing spell.) And he's less manuverable than either. He has a horse, but I don't think he's allowed to use it in this fight. Wind Waker Link: I'm not even touching this. He'd die, and if he's smart he'd stay down. Four Swords Link: What kind of Link only has six hearts max? The Link that won't survive anything. Sure they can dish out physical damage, but not much. Their chances are placed solely on them working together against a large group of enemies that go down quickly. None of the other Links go down quickly. Minish Cap Link: No power, no spells, no cool items. But he can be your friend and fuse Kinstones! OoA OoS Link: See above. Only without the Kinstones. CD-i Link: C'mon he has to be rescued by Zelda. -_-;;

Assuming that these two were the only ones fighting, here is the breakdown: XZ Maneuverability: LttP (Pegasus Boots + Flute) Y Maneuverability: AoL (jump + Jump Spell) W Maneuverability: LttP (Mirror) Melee: Toss up. Both use the same sword fairly well. However, when mixed with maneuverability, the downstab proves to be vicious. AoL. Ranged: Both have charged sword attacks, but AoL has a range limiter on the shot. LttP also has a lot of ranged items. The only thing that AoL can use at range is his fire spell, which is countered with the Fire Rod. Magic: Assuming that Spell and Reflect don't affect LttP Link, the Fire spell is going to be considered an equal to the Fire Rod, and that the Fairy spell has no effective uses in the proposed battle, AoL Link only has 3 effective spells. Jump is cool, but it doesn't really add to the already infinite maneuverability advantage. Heal is excellent, but it only gives a moment's reprieve. That leaves Thunder, which is trumped by 3 attack spells of assumed equivalent power. Sure, Ether will only stun AoL, but it's better than nothing. I'm going to have to give this to LttP Link, but only by a tiny bit. Defense: As stated earlier, AoL has a Heal spell. LttP Link has the Magic Cape and the Staff of Bryna. Assuming any situation, LttP Link also has the Moon Pearl in case AoL shoves him into a portal or something. "Experience": I assume that we are taking the best version of said iterations, which come at the end of the game. LttP Link has 3 light world dungeons, 7 dark world fortresses, the tower of Hera/Ganon, and a lot of other small times malarky. AoL has only 7 temples and the Great Palace, plus what I would assume is equivalent malarky (I've never played what would be 100% in AoL). However, AoL Link is also assumed to have completed everything in LoZ, which is 8 temples + Spectacle Rock. AoL wins by sheer volume of experience, so long as his experience is additive and cumulative. Ingenuity: LttP's Link has a lot more of an inventory to work with in battle. Whilst AoL Link is generally stuck with spells and downstabbing, LttP Link has a bag full of goodies that he can always use. Bottles! Net! Mirror! LttP Link effectively turns into Rambo McGyver on the field. So, in any given situation, LttP Link should be able to defeat AoL Link. Feel free to contest any of this. I can't believe I'm up at 3:30 in the morning debating about this on the internet.

Unusable in this situation, as this battle is assumed to take place in the Light World to begin with as it's the only place where all the Link's can gather and then get pissed off at eachother and go at it. Because we begin in the Light World there's no egress into the Dark World. The Mirror only goes Dark -> Light, not the other way around.

Quake can't effect you unless you're on the ground, jump or fairy. Bombos on the other hand would be the weapon of choice. So it's pretty much Bombos vs. Thunder. Thunder is a faster cast. :3 Also, Reflect reflects everything, not just magic, it turns his Shield into the world's strongest anything. Why wouldn't it work on LttP Link? I doubt it would work on Bombos or Ether, but on arrows or the Fire and Ice Rods, definately.

AoL also has Shield, which is incredibly cheap on magic.

I'll agree with aLttP link winning the battle of items. But Net? No use. Mirror? No Use. Bottles are the be all and end all to items though, just grab some bees. :3 As I see it, this battle is all about whether or not AoL can get into Melee range before LttP's Ranged attacks can wear him down. Unfortunately, AoL is a difficult target to hit, with all of his jumping around, turning into a fairy, Reflect spelling nonsense. And you could say, well, once AoL gets close all he has to do is use the Staff of Bryna or the Magic Cape and get away, this is true, but it also drains magic blindingly quickly. Especially if you consider that he's going to be using Bombos or Ether, plus the Firerod and Icerod. I doubt that either Link would waste his magic ineffectively; however, AoL's spells augment what he does best, they raise his attack and defense, heal him, and make him more manuverable. LttP spells don't. They're one shot, and when they're gone they're gone. The overwhelming item advantage is almost completely lost when LttP runs out of magic. So, to sum up, LttP Link has the beginning down, but as he runs out of consumables he loses effectiveness. His power is in range, but his ranged attacks only work for so long and aren't particularly effective against AoL with the exception of Bombos and Ether and those go quick. So we go from an aLttP advantage to an overwhelming AoL advantage going into the endgame. Assuming that he has the Wisdom to not charge in headfirst and get the shit blasted out of him. :3

What is the bar of health to heart ratio? If we assume that AoL gets anything less than 3 hearts to the bar, he is boned. I think you're highly underestimating LttP's swordplay skills. It's not like AoL is going to obliterate him up front guaranteed, he just has more options at that distance. Also, the W Mov section was just thrown in for kicks.

I believe we have some size issues here. AoL Link is at least twice as tall as LoZ, 4Swords, ALttP, LA, and OoS/A Links (by pixels. I'm guessing AoL Link is 32 pixels tall, LoZ/ALttP/4S are 16, Gameboy Links are probably like 8. Then again, AoL Link is really small on the overworld...). CD-i Link would be AoL's most decent match, but is kinda worthless. Then again, CD-i Link is so funny maybe everyone will die laughing. The 3d style Links are definitely giants in the world. Or maybe they just change size all the time. (I can get bigger just by walking towards the camera!) The other Links would doubtless be stupified by the number of images used to show their many sides (the simpler style Links would have no comprehension of camera angles and 3d rendering) If Link's Awakening Link could bring along Bow-Wow, no matter how small he is, he'd win.

That just proves how retardedly weak OoT and MM Links are. A chicken sent him to oblivion in one hit! Also, I don't think you've mentioned those eggs enough! Man, the same name! What a coincidence! It would be great if you printed out 500 copies of the picture and taped them up in your neighborhood!

You guys all are forgetting something. If OOT/MM Link is killed, the line of descent is broken, since he is the original. Therefore, if he dies, THEY ALL DIE. So it's OOT/MM Link or nobody.

Do you mean this??
"Genuine self-esteem, however, consists not of causeless feelings, but of certain knowledge about yourself. It rests on the conviction that you — by your choices, effort and actions — have made yourself into the kind of person able to deal with reality. It is the conviction — based on the evidence of your own volitional functioning — that you are fundamentally able to succeed in life and, therefore, are deserving of that success." - Onkar Ghate

Well, no. There is no definite time line in the series. Also, this uses the time travelling paradox that if a future Link went back in time and killed another Link, he would subsequently lose the initiative to go back in time and do so.

I vote for Oni Link personally. If he can use non-oni-link's items, I can't see him losing at all. If he can't, he just has to run away from link until nayru's love runs out.

What do you mean by line of descent? You think all the Links are in the same family? I don't think there's proof of that.
