Linux is already capable of 3d acceleration. I use it when I run beryl for example. For some demos about that, check youtube. http://youtube.com/results?search_query=beryl&search=Search On another notice. Shouldn't this thread get moved to "other emulator topics" instead of "other games" ?

i meant without using unfree software. actually, i'd be willing to use ati's drivers for now, but i can't figure out how to install them. and yes, this should be moved to other emulation topics.

I always assume that 10 days without response = given up. But granted this is a difficult and lengthy project, so don't expect it from him too soon.

How pessimistic. Maybe he's taking a vacation, lying on some sandy beach somewhere, mulling over PSX emulation in his head while he watches the bikinis walk by. Although... pessimists seem to have a sixth sense for reality.

Maybe. But the 10-day rule holds for runs (90% of run threads end up dead, or at least for SDA), which is why I don't start such threads anymore, since it's most likely that i'll give up on it within a week and further clog the forum.
