You might consider doing some GBA runs. Many GBA games are good.

Yes, it's Treasure Island Dizzy. Very short and easy compared with the other one on the NES. Actually, all the games on that cartridge could be TAS-ed. They are: Linus Spacehead - a platform game with controls from hell. Super Robin Hood - a very hard platform game with delightful controls and some nice level design. Boomerang Kid - an arcade-y game where you collect boomerangs with level design from hell Treasure Island Dizzy - a very unforgiving puzzle adventure thing....

another Legend of zelda would be neat, good game for speed runs and TAs. If your into SNES I'd suggest X-men mutant apocalypse, I could help, also super mario kart is hot right now.

You're probably looking for something short, but you'd be a hero to many people if you could improve the Kirby run. That game kicks ass.
TASing or playing back a DOS game? Make sure your files match the archive at RGB Classic Games.

LOW G MAN (no, i dont beat the last boss because i dont have an optimal strategy) yeah, theres prolly people who know more about the game, but ill run down my experience for the hell of it. tap forward twice to run instead of walk. if you ever have to jump and find yourself sticking instead of moving again, try shooting, as it seems to cancel the lack of movement after a jump (this only seems to happen with small jumps, such as those that wont stick me in place as i freeze enemies). drops seem to be manipulated by waiting a certain amount of time for an enemy to take the deathblow, but some enemies have pre-determined drop rates (such as the bombs). manipulating more S drops might or might not be best. i can see a few instances where it works well, but theres some levels you're doing more jumping than running... so im not sure. oh, and having a double/triple shot may help in getting multiple enemies (the blue dragon-head wing thing) while the circle with wings will increase your jump (which is useful because of some vertical areas). there are times when using the downwards spear (and perhaps upwards spear) seem to cancel out enemy attacks damaging you. theres a few boss battles like that. im really not sure about getting special weapons. so far, the bombs were the only things i used. but then again, i wouldnt know what address to look in to determine hit points for enemies. the boss of 2-2 (ocean descent) is a mystery to me. his movements depend on yours, so keep that in mind. the sub-marine boss takes insane amounts of shots to freeze... jerk. 3-1 (mines) bos is an example of literally standing on him and not taking damage from him. im not even sure if killing the gunner was needed. 3-2 boss is interesting. he goes up up and away. and i think taking him to the highest point and attacking from above (which does take him higher, pixels at a time) until hes off the screen may have been what killed him. that battle was a lot longer. 3-3's one of the vertical levels. the boss is an example of the spear canceling damage. 4-1's boss is a random one. depending on your position will determine where he'll reappear (and i mean by the slightest pixel). so theres possibilites of makiing him stay in place, as million-1 as it may seem. 4-2's boss is tough. those aren't refill-your-life potions, they're poison. so handle him with caution. 5-1 only has one boss, but killing the others helps (and grouping them like that does as well). 5-2... i shouldnt have used the hovercraft so much, i thought there were only 2. in any case, it'll help you to have one in full health against the last boss of the games lower bits. why dont i do it? i dont really have the patience. its a sort of frame specific game at points. but if you want a game to do, this ones out there.

How about doing a Somari run? I want to see that.
I'm just a spectator. There was a time when I tried to participate, but I'm really lazy, so. she/her/hers

Yes, and I already made a full WIP of it. Everyone hated it so I never bothered to amke an optimal version or submit it.

I really love this game lots but I've never gotten to the 2nd quest without using passwords.
someone is out there who will like you. take off your mask so they can find you faster. I support the new Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun.

i was wondering which quest would be the best, the first or last. on one hand, the last would offer completeness. on another, its also clogged with enemies (and some added difficulty), so i dont know if it would be an instance worthy of warranting the password system or not (3 whole times to beat the game fully? ... at least its not Lost Levels, i suppose)

Boco, i didn't hate your movie, i just didn't watch it because i've never played the game, and i supposed you didn't do anything impressive on it, i think you just tested a route, right?

How about the original NES Ghostbusters? I used to have that game when I was a kid, I remember it being tough, but not too tough. It has alot of interesting areas each with a different game type, and I'm sure it would be fun to watch.

i'd watch the ghostbusters getting beat because i could never beat it. but i think that it would be boring: - move around the city to fight some ghosts to get money and buy equip. keep going to gas station to refuel... - repeat untill the central building is ready - climb 100 stairs or use some door warp (i don't know which floor has it or how many floors does it skip) - fight last boss (i don't know how it is, never been there) i'd watch it anyway but i don't know about publishing. maybe there are many people thinking like me here, they just would be pleased to see the game beaten

I got to the last boss a few times when I was a little kid. I'd usually die during the damn stairs, but I got through a few times. I don't remember if I beat the last bosses. The final boss battle is really fun and well thought out by the developpers. I won't spoil it for you though.

I noticed Crash N the Boys was on there and I submitted a decent movie of it. Could my run be better? I think it could. 1. I could max out gold, silver, and bronze medals won. 2. I could kill enemies a lot faster on the 100 M dash. 3. I could not go to the market and buy stuff that makes the game easier. If anyone has any comments about my previous run(assuming you might have seen it), tell me how you think i could improve it Btw: Crash n' the Boys is my favorite NES game of all time, and I would love to be the one who sets a fun run on it.
Change my sig. again, and I will murder your pet fish.

We should rank the games in order of what everyone wants to see. Like a poll. That a good idea?
