I think Robin Hood might be interesting. I started a run for it but got past the obvious part. Only trick I can think of that I was experimenting with was fighting the boar boss over and over again, getting lots of experience that way...

Well. My COntroller seems to be working well again. Maybe it just got wet on the inside from my sweaty palms. >> I'll try a few other games, heh. Even considered TASing Spot, heh. :3 Spot would be fairly boring though I think. >>

I recommend Takeshi no Chousenjou. Seriously, though, maybe S.C.A.T.? Aside from the stupid title it's quite a tight game. Even though it's a shmup, I'm sure it could be possible to make an entertaining run of it, especially with the sweeping subweapons. But this is an old thread, so chances are you've already found something.

I second the suggestion to make a run of Jurassic Park. I'm surprised that nobody mentioned Battletoads & Double Dragon -- that would be a sight to watch. Seeing a run of Batman Returns would also be great. And Contra Force? Man, that was a great game! Not sure about how speedrunnable is New Ghostbusters 2, but it was a very fun game and I'd love to see a speedrun of it. Monster In My Pocket is definitely a game that should have its own run. A run of Gekitotsu Yonku Battle would be a blast to watch. Also, what about the classics -- Battle City, Adventures Of Lolo, Karateka, Yie Ar Kung-Fu, Balloon Fight, Nuts & Milk, Bomberman 2, Lode Runner, Gun Smoke, Mappy, Wrecking Crew? I'd also love to see runs of POW - Prisoners of War, Mighty Final Fight (2 players), Double Dragon 3 (2 players), Super Jetman, Robocop (including second and third Robocop games), Captain Planet and The Planeteers, Donald Land, Mitsume ga Tooru, Saint Seiya - Ougon Densetsu Kanketsu Hen and Terminator 2 - Judgment Day All these games are very fun to play and watch (at least for those who played them...), so, as you can see, there still is a lot of NES games to speedrun. After all, it's not only about speed, it's also about entertainment, right?

Karateka
No. Not Karateka. Karateka's one of the most boring games I've played, and IMO it wouldn't make an enjoyable TAS. I'll bring up Kouryuu Densetsu Villgust Gaiden. It seems interesting enough. Anyone played it?

The word "Villgust" rings a bell... Is it some kind of RPG/Action game, with a fox/wolf-like hero?

Yeah, the kobold. I'm thinking of running it, as evidenced by my sig.

Two more suggestions: Ninja-kun: Ashura no Sho - I toyed around with this game for a bit (as seen in the "Let's see you play something thread") and it might be interesting. Might. Mouryousenki Madara - A Konami RPG, apparently. I have no idea how to play this game at all... I just played around with it for all of two battles (in which I nearly got my arse handed to me on a silver platter), and thought it had potential. Doesn't play like anything I've come across yet, though that might be because of my lack of RPG playing. It's got a translation, for anyone that's actually willing to try their hand at it, TAS or otherwise.

I've still always wondered if anyone else on this site has tried to seriously pioneer a DW3 run. I just posted in that game thread, and no one had posted for at least a couple of months. Has AxeMan or Adelikat given that game a serious try?

Sorry, I'm not interested enough to do a DW3 run. But I will watch and offer support if anyone does. But I want to add another game to this thread: The Lone Ranger. It's long and will have some slow parts but should be interesting enough overall.

Axemanz, are you planning on revisiting ff1? I could use that shot of nostalgia. And just to emphasize it. Gargoyle's Quest 2

In an attempt to put SOME kind of end to the horrible, horrible mess of Mario-related topics, I'm going to post a list of NES games I'm still hoping to see TASed at some point or another. Rainbow Islands Rampage (Longer than all time, but I know it can be interesting.) Godzilla (So I see someone tried 2. Yeah, that was a mistake. There's a 1 hour long 'walkthrough' vid on youtube, but it's mostly just monster fights.) Kickle Cubicle Alien 3 (Goes doubly for the SNES version, but...) Athena (Coulda sworn someone was taking a crack at it...) Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (So buggy...) Captain Planet Toxic Crusaders Defenders of Dynatron City Fester's Quest (Gotta be in the top 5 hardest games evar) Incredible Crash Dummies (Again, doubly for SNES version.) Solar Jetman - a NON-warp run If Pokemon Pearl weren't eating my soul, I'd kick off work on Godzilla today just to prove it could be made interesting.

I think Rampage: World Tour for N64 would be better. There's items for instantly destroying buildings, quite a few of them, many levels can be skipped, and there's a bug which lets you damage buildings at 30 hertz. Plus there's better graphics and more attacks.

Beetlejuice Cabal: With 2 players. Tailz' one-player submission awhile back didn't fare too well, but it's a good game. Contra Force Chase HQ Eliminator Boat Duel (boobies!) Faria (maybe?) Faxanadu (improvement)

hmmm... I have a Famtasia run of Fester's Quest that someone did, I don't recall how far it got or whether it finished the game, but unfortunately my Famtasia isn't working under Vista right now so I can't check it.

Is it possible to beat all four games in Quattro Adventure without resetting? If you can, that'd be a pretty interesting TAS. That and I'm baffled as to how anyone could beat Linus Spacehead. I think a separate rom exists for that one, though. You have no health. One hit and you're brown bread.

Someone already did Fester's Quest. It was super duper boring to watch. I've been working sporadically on Kickle Cubicle. I am about halfway done with world 3. Haven't progressed for a long while now, though. I'm also planning to do Super Robin Hood eventually. It's one of the games on "Quattro Adventure".

Now that someone says it, I really would like to see a run of all four games in Quattro Adventure beaten, mostly for the fact I've never been able to beat any of them myself.
