This is Phil's (probably) first attempt on Hudson's Adventure Island. He says it is quite tough. The movie length is 40:27. https://files.tasvideos.org/bisqwit/phil-aisland.fmv My feedback on this movie was:
I watched this movie now as far as it went before going desync. It's quite long. As far as I see, it doesn't involve very much planning - it's very straightforward, like Super Mario Bros. It also doesn't seem very superhuman - anyone could play like that when given some time to train it. My opinion is that it isn't worthy enough to be published on a page that supposedly contains plays that are impressive because they look nearly impossible - even if it is the fastest possible run through this game.
I felt a little bad on discarding a movie that has no doubt had lots of work in creating (the author later said 25-30 hours), but it went to the "author has merely solved the game" category of my earlier post in the Sites forum. Does anyone want to look at it and have a second opinion? Note: To replay the movie, you need to turn on the "support undocumented opcodes" option in Famtasia.

I have an Adventure Island movie at my site, the finish time is 40:20, 7 seconds faster. I agree with you when you say why you don't want to publish it, the game is long itself, there is no way to speed up the run, and the game is somewhat... boring...

Well it was my first attempt and about 10 years never replayed this game. But the second try I will promise you to save at least 1 minute or so.

I can't stop you, but I suggest you concentrate on some game that is more fun to watch... However, if you produce a Adventure Island movie that is interesting to watch (all 40 minutes of it), I'll publish it.

For Lizard "there is no way to speed up the run" Yes theres a way to improve a lot more theres a strategy that I didnt use that can speed up a lot that game but well too late my video was made already. If someone is interested I can redo that and save at least one minute.

I don't know what is funnier in watching a guy olding a turbo button during 13 minutes like in the Super C video

If you're trying to say I shouldn't have published it, I agree. What is done is done :)

Which rom do you use? 'cause there's a desync problem at world 1-2 using Hudson's Adventure Island (U) from GoodNes.

Well if it's japanese it's NTSC and it's ok.In the other hand PAL is played faster with Famtasia.
