I'd love to see a run of this game. I've never been able to get over 200k.

There should be one ready. I'm to lazy to ask the people though. I just hope they check in here and post that movie soon.

I didn't start it. I want a plan. I must find find a free software for making plan in squared sheets. It will be easier for me if I could know where to put all those things.

If you're using Windows, you could just zoom in really close in Paint and use pixels as squares.

Well i tried to offer level editor utility in my last post, and this discussion died. So this run is no go? *edit - oh wait, this is SimCity? not 2000?, forget my utility if it is not 2000*

Phil, are you making a SimCity-movie? I show you this, this is one of the fastest-way to reach population 500k( or 600k).(Perhaps...) http://type.s31.xrea.com/info/logimg/metroid/SimCityJ_SaveState60.zip (SMV) /* warning */ - Used SaveState. (have alreadly set all objects.) - Used SimCity(J).smc (CRC32 by Snes9x is A39FD8D8) - Used $MAX-Glitch. - Used 'Free-Scenario' ("Free-Land" in English?) - Movie Stops when population reach 600k.(not 500k) (- Perhaps, can set objects, 1-month faster.) Hm,How do you feel about this movie? I start this movie in halfway, but I feel "boring". (^_^;) /* Japanese Town-name(Need Japanese-Fonts) */ Town(2k) - タウン City(10k) - シティ Capital(50k) - キャピタル Metropolis(100k) - メトロポリス Megaropolis(500k) - メガロポリス Congratulations!(600k) - 市長合格です。(you successed your city-plan.) By the way,"To set object without beep-sound" is hard work,I think. If Phil makes a movie of SimCity, I cheer you... -------------------- (Edit) And Who is the best Simcity-Player in the world?(not emulated.) My best record was 685000 in FreeLand. I know only him. His population is 2540320. (^_^;)Crazy... http://www4.plala.or.jp/to-u/sim2m/index.html (Jp) >2004年12月19日(日) 本日の都市人口:2540320人 都市年数:15323年8月 TOP数:2387(R2122、C265) (Translated) Year 2004, Dec, Day19(Sun). Today's population is 2540320. City's old(year) is 15323, Aug. Number of "TOP" - RTOP is 2122, CTOP is 265. (And he plays simcity, still now.)

Sorry, I have already red your pm but forgot to answer and I am busy with SMB1 and something else. Yes, it's for SIm City not 2000.

To Phil >Thank you. This is what I have wanted the most. It will help me. This is good news for me. Oh,I want to edit this part, sorry. >this is one of the fastest-way to reach ~ This is one of the easy-way and the fastest-way to reach~ >I am busy with SMB1 and something else. Yes, it's for SIm City not 2000. Whoops, but I think that it is better , to take precedence your SMB1-Run. Anyway, Good Luck Phil!

But I am not sure if I should do it with freeland that requires a savestate or custom map which doesn't require savestate and will probably more interesting to watch but the movie will be longer due to some events. What do you recommend?

Hm, how many population about your target? If your target is 600'000, I think you can't choice... To reach 600'000 in No.61 needs more time,I think. So, FreeLand is better. If your target is 500'000,I think No.61 is better. Because you don't need savestate, and you can reach(in easy), I think. Do you think which is better...? --- By the way, population 2'500'000 is possible in Map61,but it might need 1month over :P Not Movie-Creation-Time, 'Movie-Length' needs 1month over...

If someone could send me a savestate after scenarios are cleared for the US version. I don't want to do them.

Hm,Sorry I have only JP-Version(and savestate)... Rio de Janeiro is easiest scenario. San Francisco is very easy scenario. Boston is easy, too. Bern is easy, but it is a little troublesome. Detroit is not easy, but not hard.(Maybe) Tokyo is hard... I'm not good at TOKYO-Scenario... Lasvegas is very difficult, but you don't need to worry,as you know. you don't need to clear Lasvegas. And if you want to clear Lasvegas-Scenario,I can tell you how to. Anyway,If you use $999999glitch,you can clear all-scenario in easy.(^_^) You need about 1day to clear all-scenarios. (1day is enough to clear all-scenarios.) --- Or, I think someone has Savestate(SRAM?) of US version.(^_^;)

Well, I'd like to see it, even if it's not the record. Would you mind uploading it somewhere? And in case you can't, I'll host it for you, just email it to webmaster at thps3 dot net (I think you can figure it out XD)

Well, no site, just hosting the file. You could of course as well submit it via the submit form on the page, but I'm not too sure if it would get accepted, after all they were aiming for a time of less than 3 years. Then again, it might get people interested in beating your record. I just want to watch the movie, anyway.

I've done it faster ;) . 2years9month if I am correct. You even don't need to pause the game (don't know if you have!?) because the time does not run as long as you push or hold buttons.
